Very neat place for a history nerd, for sure. They managed to save/re-create nearly the whole place!! Very excellent information on what it was like in late 1860s-1889... What the Buffalo Soldiers did was great!!! There's even one building that is a phone museum, with dozens of old phone and several old switchboards... 👍👍👌👌💪💪🙏🙏🙏🙏

Very interesting experience. These folks have taken care in many details to provide an authentic experience of what life in this 19th century Fort could have been like. The grounds are original and in fantastic condition. The buildings have been meticulously restored to an amazing condition. Excellent work and effort on restoration of Army equipment including cannon and livery. There is a fantastic restoration of an Infirmary and Officer's quarters. There is an interesting exhibition of antique telephone, and telegraph with some very fine antique phones on display. The entrance fee was 3$ and well worth the time to visit. Super impressed by the efforts involved here.

Geschichte zum anfassen bzw. Anschauen. Remember them!!!

Fort Concho is very well preserved & the grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed seeing so many authentic items such as uniforms, horse tack, wagons, band instruments, pictures & furniture. The fort was so clean & neat. We were surprised to visit the Danner Museum of Telephony, here at the fort. This Museum was fabulous. A must see for telephone enthusiasts.

A fascinating step back in time Fort Concho National Historic Landmark is beautifully preserved and lets you truly feel the history of the Old West. Peaceful, well-maintained, and full of stories, it’s a great spot to explore and learn about frontier life and the soldiers who lived here.
