Chris greeted us when we walked in. He was extremely friendly and explained how to best enjoy the museum. He was knowledgeable in history and the region and shared what he learned that surprised him the most! It was very impressive interactive museum! I learned so much about Texas history. Extremely well done! Displays were great! I am glad I was able to see this while I was in the area! Gift shop offered many fun items and brochures for other places to visit while in the area.

Visitor notes
This was smaller museum than originally thought BUT so much fun was had! It was definitely worth it!
Amazing, staff super friendly and helpful. Exhibits were very informative and interactive. Definitely recommend to learn all about the frontier of Texas.
Super cool Texas history museum! The video holograms are fantastic! Great value. They give several entrance fee discounts. I was there about 2 hours. My next trip to Abilene I'm spending the whole day there and reading everything! Don't miss it!
We came on a field trip with second and third graders. There was a lot of interactive exhibits, which kept their attention well. We had a guide and she was dressed for the part and very knowledgeable and patient. There is a really cool 360 experience at the end that the kids loved.
Frontier Texas! is an absolutely fantastic museum and a definite must-visit in Abilene. It is genuinely interactive and incredibly informative, making the history of the Texas frontier engaging for all ages. The museum truly brings the past to life, especially through their innovative use of hologram characters. It feels less like reading plaques and more like meeting the people who lived this history—it’s a completely immersive and memorable experience. We found the entire visit to be great and left feeling thoroughly educated and entertained. If you want history that jumps off the page and gets you involved, make sure to stop by Frontier Texas! Highly recommended!
Awesome place to visit and learn from and inexpensive as well. Plenty to see and do and kids enjoyed it as well.
90m to visit ? We spent 180m and we think we rushed some of the activities. It is a nice and pleasant place exploring the history of Abilene, we different angles. We will come back.
