I love visiting this area and beyond. We brought our bicycles and took the bike path around the local area and got a good little workout then ended up at the bridge. At this time of year they have the garden area decorated with lights and woukd loved to have walked through however we thought the price was a little steep to pay. We stayed the weekend up the freeway at The Inn At Shasta Lake which is worth checking out as well.

Really cool area with the bridge and trails walking along the Sacramento River. The bridge has ample free parking all around the south end at the Redding Civic Auditorium. The bridge itself is a fun exploration with most of the walkway going over the bridge are windowed tiles. The bridge is 20 feet wide. So plenty of space to walk and check out the river views while you are directly over it. If you keep going on the trail, it is mostly tree lined and shaded. Cool experience!

A must‑see Redding landmark with incredible river views The Sundial Bridge is easily one of the most beautiful spots in Redding, especially in the evening. It’s perfect for a relaxed stroll with wide‑open views of the Sacramento River, the surrounding trees, and the mountains in the distance. On most nights you’ll catch anglers out in the water doing their thing, which adds to the whole peaceful, outdoorsy vibe. The sunsets here are unreal….golden light on the river, calm water, and a setting that feels straight out of a postcard. Whether you’re walking the bridge, taking photos, or just soaking in the scenery, it’s one of those places that reminds you how special Northern California really is. If you’re visiting Redding or just passing through, this is absolutely worth the stop.

A really nice park with vast planted areas, a pleasant café, a museum, and a meandering path for walking, biking or scooters which follows the Sacramento River for miles. Best of all is the Sundial Bridge, itself, a world-renowned glass-decked pedestrian bridge which is one of the world's largest working sundials.

This was a nice stop on our way to Washington. It had a decent nature trail and the bridge was cool to see. They were setting up for a night event which looked pretty cool.

Great place to people watch. Today there were two men in the river patiently fishing. Brrr. Tons of dogs all well behaved and leashed walking their humans. There is a cool museum and bistro. Plenty of parking for gas and chargers for electric cars. There is a romantic botanical garden. ENJOY!

This was MAGICAL!! The displays and themes were awesome, just be aware that PARKING SUCKS do NOT pay extra for parking bcuz there are no parking attendants to guide u where to go. It's basically a free for all. If u have children the train ride is extra and there was a 49 min wait when we were there. If you do NOT have children I suggest u DONT go until later. Everyone seemed to arrive between 530 and 6pm. It's open till 10pm. I wish we would have gotten there at 8pm instead. There's only 2 maybe three places that sell hot chocolate beer and wine and I "WINED" about the wait. Lol we didnt get anything bcuz it took too long. Also b very aware if u are handicapped, there is LOTS of walking.... and NO "shortcuts" if u get too tired and dont want to do the whole tour. If u are not familiar with the parking situation leaving can be very confusing. We didnt know which way to go to get out. Other than those minor pitfalls it was sooo worth it! Took lots pics and videos, it could be VERY romantic too. It was a beautiful evening and u won't be disappointed!

Visited on the way back from California last Christmas season, exceeded our expectation for this small town. There is a light show at adjacent park which is so popular that we quite after in line for 10min. The bridge is really pretty.
