You definitely did not come close to what the Boston Duck Tours delivers. A lot of loud rambling from your guide. If I had bought the tickets from you directly the cost was $100 more than Groupon. Did not enjoy the the trip and I paid for 4 of us to do that event. We also went on the Vintage Fire truck tour a few hrs before the Duck Tour. What a difference!! A knowledgeable Tour director who was professional and polite. There also two stories about the cannon ball that became a chandelier. I will not recommend this tour to my friends or family.
6/27/26 @1:15. Our driver, sea captain and tour guide were fantastic! They did a great job and couldn’t have been nicer people. That also includes the guy working at the info cart. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone heading to Portland. Our kids and dog also loved it!
I'd never been on a tour like this before and loved it so much went back again with more friends. It was great to have half the tour on land, driving through parts of Portland and learning about interesting people and history. The water part was super cool as well, so strange - and exhilarating being on the water in a boat?car? I will go again, for sure. And tour guide was so willing to share stories about the area while we were out. Make sure you visit the gift shop while you're there, lots of fun gifts!
Fun two hour tour of parts of Portland. Dugan was a funny and knowledgeable guide, with some very interesting facts. Captain Mike was mostly quiet during the trip. It also quite knowledgeable after the trip if you have any questions. I'd do it again if new people were on a trip with me but probably wouldn't otherwise. Still I felt I got my money's worth and had an enjoyable time.
The tour guide and the driver for this tour were both absolutely fantastic! We had a great time and learned a ton of information about Portland that we probably never would have known without going on this tour. I highly recommend this tour, but only for visitors, but for locals who might want to know more about the city they know and love.
Definitely a must if your visiting downtown Portland. We had a blast with the ducks captain and host. Leaned a lot about Portland and enjoyed some time on the water learning more. Ride was bumpy in the duck boat but it’s an amphibious vehicle so you gotta make some sacrifices. Host was very funny and did a great job filling everyone in on Portland’s history. If you book the first duck boat at 10am you can save a few bucks.
We had a great time on our duck tour! Dugan and Captain Mike took us on a great ride around the city and the bay. Wonderful views and lots of laughs. It was a great way to see the major sites and learn about the city in one afternoon.
We bought tickets online and when we arrived at the address listed there was no representative or booth for the tour. We called multiple times and never received a phone call back. I would not recommend this tour company to anyone.
