Trash and Vaudeville

While we were visiting New York during Spring Break, my daughter, 11, was looking for a corset-like top and found this jewel of a store. Definitely her style 💀 We were greeted by these two adorable ladies behind the counter, and while she tried on clothes, someone was always offering help or shooting her a nice compliment! The pieces found in her were of amazing quality and exquisite taste. A tad overpriced, but it didn't matter, and she ended up a happy camper! 🙃 Loving her purchase!

I came all the way from Orlando FL to come to this store and I am so happy I did!!! Sarah and Taz were FANTASTIC in helping me choose the perfect pair of pants. They made me feel so comfortable and I love what I left with. Rosie and Sif were downstairs in the shoe section and were so fun to chit-chat with! If you’re ever in the area for some alternative essentials, you have to stop by Trash and Vaudeville!

I have been visiting this shop for about 25 years, in its previous location as well as the “new” one. Viva Jimmy Webb! On my last visit I was really pleased to see the place thriving: plenty of subcultural threads to browse. Tons of band T-shirts, fitted/black skinny jeans (they used to be one of the only places I knew of to buy them in the days of yore) & tons of accessories & shoes! I kinda wish they had some vegan footwear, as I was in the market for an updated pair of vegan Chelsea Boots! Love/respect to T&V always 🖤

The staff are amazing: helpful, kind, and friendly. We spent quite a while looking through the store and they never made us feel as though we overstayed our welcome. Inventory was excellent! Absolutely will come here again.

The two young ladies that were helping w/the shoes were very helpful & kind. There's a great selection that I haven't seen anywhere else. The only reason I didn't give 5 ⭐️ was b/c the cashier at the entrance wasnt very pleasant at all...coming or going, after spending about $300 in there.

went here on a whim for some early birthday shopping, as I was visiting NYC for two days, and ended up going back twice today! staff is extremely friendly, ended up finding some absolute steals on some quality shoes, and a few pieces of merch. definitely recommend this place. vibes are immaculate, good music playing on the overhead. will definitely be coming back, if only to visit this store. they're also extremely trans friendly and accommodating 🏳️‍⚧️

tons of cute stuff - but don't be fooled by their "plus size" section. everything is a size 16 or smaller, and they'll tell you that they have "more sizes in back"... but wow, everything you ask for a larger size in, they don't have anything larger! i planned an entire day of clothing shopping for my birthday trip to NYC - i spent my actual birthday going to places like trash and vaudeville that SAY they have plus sizes, but seemingly has nothing larger than an XL. i left in tears. skip this place and go to Plus BKLYN if you're remotely plus sized. they legitimately ruined my birthday with their false advertisement of extended sizing and their indifference to my inability to find anything.
