We have been to the zoo multiple times now. Both us and our kids really enjoy it. The grounds are kept nice, lots of flowers to appreciate and bring a lot of colour; you can tell the staff work hard at it. The animals are always a pleasure to see, they make it stroller friendly with most of the exhibits having a look out with plexiglass so you don't have to get your kid out to see things. We have always had a fairly easy time seeing a good chunk of the animals. The go to animal favourites for our family are the elephants, lions, giraffe and komodo dragon. They have a cute little gift shop (should that interest you), and a restaurant I believe but we haven't used those things. The train also looks super fun! We just haven't checked that out yet. All in all a wonderful outside activity for the family.

I recently visited Montgomery Zoo on a weekday with a school trip, and it was a great experience! Entry was quick since we had our tickets ready, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. The zoo has a wide variety of animals, and I really enjoyed seeing them all. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend visiting Montgomery Zoo.

We had such an amazing day at the Montgomery Zoo with the kids! From the moment we walked in, there was something exciting to see everywhere we turned. The kids loved spotting the turtles, and seeing the hippos splashing around was a big highlight. Of course, the big cats were incredible too. Watching the tigers and lions up close was something the kids won’t stop talking about. But the absolute favorite moment was meeting the giraffe named JJ. We even got to feed him! He was very picky though and only wanted the lettuce, completely ignoring the dry grass in the cup. The kids thought that was hilarious. Another fun part was the train ride around the lake and the zoo. It was relaxing and gave us a great view of everything from a different perspective. We also had lunch at the cafeteria, which was really nice because you can actually observe the animals while you eat. It made the whole experience even more special. Overall, it was such a fun, memorable day for our family. The kids had a blast, and so did we. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon!

I had a really nice time at the zoo overall—it was a great environment and a fun place to walk around with friends. Everything felt well laid out, and there was plenty to see without it feeling overwhelming. The playground was also a highlight—big, clean, and perfect for kids to enjoy while taking a break from the exhibits. One thing that really stood out to me was how clean the zoo was. It’s honestly one of the cleanest zoos I’ve been to in a while, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. The animals also looked well taken care of, which is always important and reassuring to see. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The ocean attraction was a bit disappointing since the tanks barely had anything in them. Also, the giraffe feeding experience didn’t quite feel worth it—for $4, you only get two lettuce leaves, and the rest were just random leaves that looked like they were picked up from the ground, which the giraffe didn’t even seem interested in. Overall though, it was a fun visit and a nice way to spend time outdoors with friends!

My sons kindergarten class had a field trip here. We fed a giraffe!! There was a nice Cafe that had slushies!! The zoo is going through renovations so quite a few things were closed. I can't wait to bring all my kids back for a visit once everything is completed!!

I grew up coming to this zoo and it has vastly changed. We were there for a field trip and the most exciting part was seeing my child light up by seeing the animals. Some exhibits were closed and some were empty. ALOT of them need a major overhaul. It was very disappointing seeing how rundown majority of the enclosures looked. Some of the walkways were flooded so making sure an enormous amount of five and six year olds didn't think they were Peppa Pig (iykyk) was a job. There was one train running with about four or five different schools there on that day. I hope the next visit will be better.

Nice place. Many exhibits were not open but the ones that were are nice. Elephants, Jaguars, flamingos, reptiles and more were available to walk around and see. My kiddo enjoyed the playground the most and the picnic area was nice to sit at and fairly clean and kept up. Parking was easy. Could see displays of lights for the upcoming winter and holidays. Not pricey at all.

You can tell that a lot of the animals were depressed. Some of their spaces are too closed in my opinion. Some of them like their home though. Also some of the glass was dirty probably from the aniamls so i know not much can be done about that. Didn't get to take my toddler on the train because they wasn't operating it. Highly disappointed in that because it was one of the main reasons why we went, he loves trains and I wanted him to actually get on one. Maybe next time I'll call ahead to make sure it's not a waste of a trip. Some of the exhibits were empty, would of loved to see the wolves but didn't get to since they aren't done with that new exhibit yet.
