This was my first visit to the museum of fine arts in Houston, they have two exhibitions that me and my daughter wanted to see, one is called Louvre Couture, and the other is Frida, we spent a few hours in the Louvre Couture exhibit and let me tell you, it blew our mind! The combination of paintings, sculptures, and couture was extraordinary, we had the opportunity to enjoy paintings from centuries ago to today’s designers couture. They had couture dresses from Chanel, Dior, Givenchy and more. You will not regret coming to this exhibition. There is parking next building and you have to go through a tunnel to get to the exhibit, the staff is extremely helpful and the fees for parking and tickets are very affordable. We didn’t have time to see Frida‘s exhibition, but we’re coming back for that one!

Definitely a place to visit and admire when in Houston. Excellent collection of art, with occasional extra treat like current Frida Kahlo's exhibition. I love Impressionism and paintings of Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Pissaro and Sissley are a wonderful part of the entire museum. Thursday offers free admission except entry to those temporary exhibitions. The whole museum is well-organized, spacious. A perfect place for a day or two with an art.

Some research online listed this anywhere from top five to top ten art museums in the U.S. After visiting, it's easy to see why. The three buildings offer an impressive variety and quality of art, and some renowned artworks and artists. We only had a few hours to spend, and we needed more. Plan at least three hours, and probably more than four, or plan on multiple visits.

Acknowledged as the 6th best art museum in the US, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is widely considered one of the top cultural destinations for local Houstonians as well as for all Texans. MFAH has a huge and diverse collection catering to all artistic tastes ranging from Americas to Asia and from ancient civilizations to the modern world. Located in the city's museum district, MFAH has excellent rotating and new exhibitions like the most recent Museum Berggruen collection of masterpieces by Picasso-Klee-Matisse. The MFAH campus itself also wins visitors' praises as being world-class.

I had an amazing experience at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, especially visiting the Frida Kahlo exhibition. It was inspiring to see her artwork up close and learn more about her life, story, and the meaning behind each piece. The exhibition was beautifully organized, and every detail helped create a meaningful connection to her art and culture. The museum was clean, well-lit, and had a peaceful atmosphere to fully enjoy the experience. Definitely worth visiting whether you love art or just want to do something different and cultural. Highly recommend!

Always a lovely experience at the MFAH. The Louvre Couture pieces were interspersed among the regular museum items. So it was quite intriguing to see these fabulous works of couture standing amidst the modern art on the walls. Each hall was like the perfect gallery. We really enjoyed the experience

Used my student card to get a discount. Tickets were 20 USD per person. There’s different buildings that connect underground and have these really cool tunnels for taking pictures. If you plan on seeing all exhibitions go early! 3 hours was not enough for me. Right now they have an immersive exhibition where you can take mind blowing pictures. 100% would recommend to go to the terrace at sunset

Wonderful, sprawling complex of buildings displaying several art collections and joined underground by delightful light art tunnels. The standing collection is excellent, the architecture is dramatic, and the traveling exhibits are exciting. This is one of the southwest's best art museums. There is paid and free parking on nearby streets, and the museum has an attached parking garage.
