Spent the day with my family and freinds at Herman Park. There is plenty to do and enjoy here. We enjoyed the paddle boats, the train ride, walking the paths, the gardens and wild life. Everyone was so nice and friendly. There are plenty of shaded areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. There is a grrat little gift shop to purchase drinks, ice-cream and memorabilia. Bring a lunch and have a great day!

Hermann Park in Houston has an amazing atmosphere and is a wonderful place for a walk. The pathways and gardens are beautifully maintained, making it perfect for a morning walk or to enjoy a cup of coffee and a light snack. I especially enjoyed exploring the different walking trails and sections of the park, each with its own peaceful charm. The Japanese Garden is particularly beautiful and adds a unique and relaxing experience to the visit. There are also nice and cozy coffee spots within the park, which makes it even more enjoyable. If you visit, try taking the small train that gives a tour around the park—it’s a lovely way to see the different areas of the garden, especially if you’re visiting with family. Overall, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable place to relax and spend time outdoors.

This is a very large and beautiful park! Take the kids for a Train ride (a ticket is good for unlimited rides all day... flower gardens, Japanese gardens, waterfountains, picnicking, beautiful walks, what is there not to love about this park. The Zoo and Natural History Museum are located within the park...

Back in late July 2014, my friends and I spent a wonderful Saturday exploring Hermann Park. It is a beautiful, expansive urban oasis right in the heart of Houston's Museum District. During the visit, we spent some relaxing time by the iconic Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Reflection Pool, walking along the scenic paths shaded by large trees, and crossing the pedestrian bridge over McGovern Lake. Returning to the area later in October 2014, I also managed to explore University Blvd right near the park grounds. The neighborhood there is exceptionally charming, featuring lovely classic houses framed perfectly by majestic, sweeping oak trees that extend from the park's surroundings. The park offers a serene atmosphere, with lush green trees, a grand fountain, and plenty of birds gathering by the water. It is well-maintained and provides a perfect, peaceful escape for a leisurely walk or to just sit down and enjoy nature. Since it is located right next to the Houston Zoo and various museums, it’s a fantastic place to unwind. A truly wonderful public space that shouldn’t be missed when visiting Houston.

This park is so enjoyable. I've visited several times and never get bored! With a diverse range of wildlife and plant life, plus dedicated spaces for kids, there's plenty to see. You could easily spend an hour or more exploring the entire area, soaking in the scenery at your own pace.

This is most well-rounded green spaces in Houston. The park is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with walking paths, open lawns, and shaded areas that make it comfortable even on warmer days. The atmosphere is calm but still active, with people exercising, relaxing, and spending time with family. Its central location near museums adds to its appeal, making it a convenient and enjoyable place to visit

An amazing park just in the city with a variety of options. There are a lot of trails to walk and run, so nice. A lot of spots to sit and read your book, or picnic or chat with friends or just be chill in solo. Also, you can play golf in heart of the Houston, ain’t it amazing! If you are traveling as a family, don’t worry, you can find many things entertaining your kids, especially the train looping around the park, carousel and rental paddle boats. Worth to say that there is also Houston zoo, exactly in the park, can you imagine that?! Btw, if you are interested in art, still you can visit the Herman park. Since there is the beautiful Sam Houston Statue, an iconic statue of Sam Houston Monument andddddd statue of the Pioneer memorial. Last but not least, there is a very beautiful Cherie Flores garden pavilion, for your special events.

Hermann Park is a very big and beautiful park, perfect for spending quality time with family. It’s a great place to walk, relax, and enjoy the outdoors together. Just a heads-up—during the summer it can get very hot, so coming earlier in the day or later in the afternoon is best. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for families and a place we always enjoy visiting!
