We had a blast! It was such a fun experience and everyone was so nice! The train ride was fun, and there was a lot to do! They have a rope climbing obstacle course, you buy mining bags to sift through and find arrowheads and gems, the animals appear happy and well taken care of…. It’s just an all-around great time! We can’t wait to go back!
Best kept secret. My family and I drove 2 hours to see this zoo and it was worth it! Much better experience than we get with our local zoo in New Orleans. The staff is super friendly. The food is good and priced reasonable. The animals were a joy to be so close to and to see. There is also a train ride, carousel and a ropes activity that, in my opinion, is under priced. They could definitely charge more. We'll 100% be back to try some of the other things they offer (like the Sloth encounter).
For a smaller zoo it was a perfect afternoon stroll that had a lot to offer. About $10 per person on a Thursday afternoon; we were driving through from Louisiana to florida and called it a day in Hattiesburg. It was a great walk through where you could circle round and see everything liesurely and took us about an hour and forty five minutes. There are interactive QR codes at each exhibit and a very knowledgeable zookeeper (I am so sorry I don't remember your name) in the down under walk through where you have the opportunity to pet wallabies, giant hogs and emus. If we ever find ourselves in Hattiesburg we will definitely visit again.
This zoo is absolutely the best for kids! The exhibits are easy to view from child heights and the animals are very interested in seeing ypu as much as you are them. Plus the price of admission is affordable.
Excellent value for the price of admission. The zoo is small, but packs a lot of punch. Unfortunately a couple animals were not out, which happens sometimes. The staff was very friendly. The price of food is below what you would expect.
This is a very small but quaint Zoo. It was nice for a change of pace and see the animals. I walked the whole thing in about an hour there's not much to it but it's enjoyable. I would go again
It was pretty okay, but I wish they had more animals like lions, elephants, bears, and hippos. The animals were beautiful, although most of them were sleeping, as if they had been awake all night.
Great for a small town zoo. The animals were entertaining and the staff was very friendly. Check out the baby monkies.
