The first thing I noticed was the color and detail on the sanctuary walls, with the music carrying softly through the church. I stopped in for Mass while I was in the area, and one of the people there was kind about pointing me where to go, which made the visit feel easy. The parish has a very welcoming, active feel, though the service did come across more modern and informal than some might expect. I was glad I took the time to step inside, especially for the beauty and quiet of the space.

I stopped in for an afternoon service while I was exploring the area, and I was immediately struck by how welcoming and easy the whole experience felt. The space has such a peaceful atmosphere, and the staff made me feel right at home from the moment I walked through the doors. It was a really smooth visit, and I left feeling completely recharged and glad I took the time to go inside.

We were so glad to make a visit to this vibrant Parish. A gentleman showed us where the elevator was and made sure we got to the sanctuary. (He also wished us goodbye.) The sanctuary was truly beautiful and I needed more time to visit but we had to get to Union station. You can tell the health of a church by the size of the children's group, this one is thriving. Music was a mix of traditional and contemporary and I was told they even have pros in the choir. DO go visit them!

Old St Patrick Church ⛪️ is one of the most beautiful Church I have visited in Chicago. I really had wonderful experience, it was truly amazing and I feel so relaxed and blessed 😇 It was one of the oldest Catholic Church in Chicago. I perform mass on Friday Afternoon and spend some time over there. I would love to go again and again to this beautiful Church. ⛪️

My girlfriend and I loved this church when I first moved to the city. It is nearby my place so a great location. However, this church is very "modern". They speak about politics, they stand during the Holy Communion, they do not kneel, people leave after receiving the Holy Communion, it it very laxed. We have decided to stop going to this church and went elsewhere that is more traditional and continues the original Catholic faith. I grew up in the Catholic church, this Church does not embody the true Catholic faith.

Very sad to have attended Mass here. This church should be reported to the bishop or Vatican. This was the first time as a Roman Catholic that in all my 47 years, not a soul knelt during the shortened consecration that was said. I don't even think this counts as Mass. I am a visiting cancer professional for the conference.

My wife and I attended mass at this church since it offered a late mass at 8pm and we had been driving all Sunday. We were disappointed we had to leave the church half way through the mass because of the adamant irreverence and improvisation from the alleged priest celebrating the mass. He was holding his cellphone during the liturgy of the word, interrupting the readings to give his point of view or making random quotes. There was no formal penitential act at the beginning of mass. We left before the eucharistic liturgy. We had been asked to carry the gifts during the offerings and we still left because we felt so bad about how the liturgy was being violated. We let the ushers know we had to step out so they could find somebody else. The priest was making open comments about political scenarios to interrupt the liturgy. We have been to mass in different countries, different languages, at least 10 different states in the United States as well as countries like Honduras, Guatemala, Canada, France, Italy. We never had an experience like this. These are people’s souls at stake. Please authorities in the archdiocese of Chicago pay attention to this.

Blessed experience for my daughter's wedding. The entire staff including ceremony and music, volunteers and Priest Father Novak led the most wonderful service exceeding our greatest imagination.
