Full transparency, I used Obie Insurance for a flip last year. I closed and dropped the ball on communication regarding closing. They reached out to ask if I needed to renew, I then realized I forgot to cancel!! Oh no!!! Have no fear, Oliba J. to the rescue! They reached out and let me know that they canceled the policy and backdated the coverage dates. Didn’t ask them to do that, but just a very high level of professionalism and integrity. Hard to find these days!! 10/10 recommend!

Apparently, my mortgage company was not getting the communications clearly, Nor could I get a human being, just their stupid automated system. So I called Obie and got pleasure of help from SOPHIA LOZADA. She resolved all issues and then sent me a follow up email with all the information so everybody’s on the same page For my escrow account. Thank you, Sophia.

They are scam artists, read your actual policy details, especially ask for their Replacement Cost Estimate. Their service is based on separating you from your money as quickly as possible with a policy that looks good at first glance. And an online checkout that's modern and fast. Once you dig into your policy you'll realize it is completely skewed against you and you will have a huge financial loss if you ever need to make a claim. They wrote me a policy for 493k but their RCE was 1.65 million!!! So they would only cover less than 30% of the actual policy I paid for. PLUS they charge a 25% cancellation fee for any policy, even if you paid in full upfront. Absolutely shameful customer service, I will never trust them again. And I learned a hard, expensive lesson about reading the fine print.
