Red Lion Withington

Thank you to the Red Lion team for your excellent service on Saturday and allowing us to dine at short notice with my family we appreciate it. The food was fresh, cooked to excellent standard, good value for money. The staff were welcoming all ordered were perfect and we really enjoyed our visit. It was a chilled and relaxing atmosphere and very clean. We have dined at Red Lion for other special occasions and look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you all x

I really like going to the red lion, but the past few times we have been the food has been shocking. I ordered my daughter a pasta with sauce it come out like water the sauce and the pasta was just floating in it. I asked them to take it bk as she couldn't eat it like that in which they did but then it come out again with just some of the sauce poured out. Then I order a chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were awful couldn't eat them been over fried didn't even taste like sweet potato. It's such a shame as the food has always been lovely and we have been going for awhile with my kids. Staff are friendly and great attitude. Sadly the food had gone down hill.

We have been going here for the past couple of years. The food had always been lovely....apart from the last 2 times. Yesterday we went again....it was awful. The food was nearly all cold, the steaks were OK ish, the peppercorn sauce was just onion gravy....not impressed. I don't know if they've changed chefs, but no where near as nice as it used to be.

Would have been better rating if my disabled sister had a properly designed disabled toilet. Not enough room to swing a cat! Shocking for such a large pub/restaurant. Lots of dining space and enormous garden

Never been for food but it’s got a class beer garden! Id really recommend for summer with mates :) also they have inches so that’s a plus

Unfortunately the food we had was particularly awful. 95% of my reviews are 5 stars. This is the lowest and well deserved as the soup was bearly edible and totally flavour-less. Sorry guys I just expect more for the money ( £26 for 2 soups, bread and 2 coffees).

Not bad food, but it kept repeating on me though. Service is good but beer is not very good. Quite expensive too so I won't recommend it if you just popped in for a quick bite.
