San Marino Ristorante Italiano

We had reservations for a Friday at 6:45pm. They seated us right away. Our waitress Alyssa was excellent and the water guy always kept our glasses filled as well as the bread basket. Our Appetizers and Meals were excellent. The Atmosphere is excellent and the whole dining experience was super.

I reviewed this restaurant almost a year ago, and had the opportunity to return for a family style meal with a men's club that travels around the State enjoying great Italian cuisine. San Marino does NOT disappoint. From the perfect Grey Goose Dirty Martini that was mixed behind the bar, to the amazing food prepared by Chef Franco! Course after course came out, each one better than the one before. In the specifics, I am a big fan of Fried Calamari & Broccoli Raub.. I had both last night, and they were outstanding! I made sure Anthony (owner) knew how much I enjoyed the evening. I was able to do this because he personally made himself available to our group and gave attention to detail. Top notch Italian night out in Waterbury!

Ordered the grilled salmon con broccoli rabe. The salmon was moist and tender and the broccoli rabe was cooked to perfection. The waitress wasn't friendly and never smiled. I was there for a birthday dinner, a little smile would have been nice. The dining room is large and the menu has a great variety of options. Definitely give this place a try, but don't expect a warm vibe from the staff.

The best Italian meal I've ever had at a restaurant! Got the cavatelli with vodka sauce -- out of this world. Also the best tiramisu I've ever had. My brother warned me: The only thing wrong with this tiramisu is it will make all other tiramisus pale in comparison! Lovely staff and beautiful place. Also great deals on drinks. You must visit if you haven't already. Can't believe this was my first time there as a Waterbury native.

This was my second time eating at this restaurant. I went with a good friend of mine on 11/22/25. We had reservations for 6:30 and it was very busy. Staff were great and nice. I ordered a Moscow Mule which was really good. I don't remember what drink my friend had but she liked it. We had nice house salads before our entrees came. I ordered the Shredded Short Rib Gargonzola and my friend had the Napolitano. I loved my food. It was delicious. The wine the meat was cooked in was perfect. It gave a great after taste. Tender short ribs which were shredded nicely. The rositto was cooked perfectly and the spinach had a nice bite to it. I gave my friend some and she didn't touch her food until she was done eating what I gave her. She did enjoy her food though and it looked good. I enjoyed mine so much that I went back the next day and ordered two for my husband and I to go.I surprised him with it and he loved it. I heard no words from him just "mmm, mmm, mmm". Excellent food. Good service. I'll be back for sure.

Food is great! My fiance and me had ordered food the last couples days from Uber Eats! All I can say the food is amazing! Chicken parm sub is amazing!! I got a spainch salad with honest mustard vinaigrette it’s to die for! My fiance got the meatball parm and chicken sub absolutely amazing and to die for the fried mozzarella! I will keep ordering and and eating here!

The food was honestly nothing to die over, but the overall experience was quite nice. Great date spot.

I have Been coming here for years with my family. San Marino offers Authentic Italian food that is just delicious. I came here with a big group of people (10) and staff was very accommodating. I ordered the Veal Milanese which is a Pan fried, crispy breaded, rosemary, garlic and olive oil, angel hair pasta with long hot pepper Chicken Breast-$22.95 Veal- $24.95 Pasta and Entree's served with soup or salad.
