I was prepared for the glow to be edited in pics, overhyped, and underwhelming but oh my god… that was insane!! Josh did such a great job keeping us focused on rowing and getting to each viewpoint for the bioluminescence and the glowing jellies, right off the bat he was fun, informative, and friendly. We got the best guide of the night!! The bioluminescence was sooo bright! I didn’t expect it! We were all kinda scared at first but it was very peaceful, safe, and so so sooooo much fun!! I’d say once in a lifetime experience but this happens every year!! If you’re on the fence, jump off and into the raft cus that was awesome!!
We had a great combo sunset and bioluminescence tour with BK. Our lead tour guide, Jay, was fantastic. He was super friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the area and the flora and fauna we saw. We got to see manatees and lots of birds during the sunset paddle, and were lucky enough to see dinoflagellates and comb jellies during the bioluminescence paddle. Definitely recommend!
We had a great experience on the Sunset & Bioluminescence Tour with Jay and Skye. Both guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and worked hard to help everyone see the wildlife and bioluminescence.
The sunset portion was fantastic. We saw lots of manatees, including a “manatee rodeo,” a tiny baby manatee that came right up to Skye’s kayak, and even a manatee rolling out from a shoreline root area they had engineered for themselves. Those wildlife encounters alone made the trip worthwhile.
Jay and Skye also did their best to help us experience both the comb jellies and the dinoflagellates. I had seen the bioluminescence in this area back in 2020 when the dinoflagellates were incredibly bright—almost like throwing neon paint into the water. This time it wasn’t nearly as intense, which was a little disappointing for me personally, but that’s nature and not something the guides can control.
The rest of my group had never experienced it before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, it was a memorable evening and a great way to experience the wildlife and natural beauty of the area. Wonderful time had by all!
Kyler and Emily were phenomenal guides on the clear kayak bioluminescent tour! Very engaging and educational about the area and environment. They even helped a group that was having a very difficult time kayaking. Just overall wonderful. The bioluminescent plankton are hard to see on camera but it was a great experience. BRING BUG SPRAY!
We had an amazing experience on the bioluminescent and sunset tour with BK Adventures! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
Our guides, Josh, Calvin, and Kaylyn (I may be misspelling her name), were absolutely fantastic. They brought great energy to the tour, were incredibly informative, and did an excellent job taking us to areas with lots of active wildlife. Josh was especially great about educating us on the local wildlife, ecosystem, and surrounding area, which made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable.The bioluminescence was incredible, and it was clear that the guides were passionate about what they do and genuinely wanted everyone to have the best experience possible. I also want to give a special shoutout to the BK Adventures team for their customer service. We ended up getting stuck behind a major accident and road closure on the way there, and they made the rescheduling process incredibly easy. Everyone was so kind, understanding, and accommodating, which we really appreciated.
If you’re considering a bioluminescent tour, I highly recommend BK Adventures. Great guides, great wildlife encounters, great education, and outstanding customer service. Definitely a 5-star experience!

Alec took my boyfriend and I out and it was a gorgeous day. The water was choppy and windy but the group managed. There was one other couple so it was pretty intimate.
Alec took us around and kept providing details about landscape and animals in the area. We saw loads of birds and even though the water was really murky, we got to see quite a few manatees. I was so thrilled, specifically came out to this area because the chance to see them here was greater than in the springs at this time. No dolphins or gators but hey, thats nature, it does what it wants. We did see Mullet leaping out several times.
Make sure you bring bug spray! We got attacked as soon as we pulled up! There aren't showers here so make sure you are accessible to a shower afterwards because the water was really brackish.

My 2 friends and I had an amazing experience! It was my first time on a Kayak and was able to conquer my fears! The guides were so friendly and helped me feel safe. It was absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend this!!! NOTE: Notice the Orb in last picture!

He is very knowledgeable on the history of the area and all about safety. All around great time. Don't hesitate, just do it!
