We had a fantastic time at the aquarium! My mom used her scooter and no time navigating while exploring. When buying tickets, you choose a time. We were a little early and had no problem. There are a lot of interactive areas with demonstrations, feeding, and touch pools.

Visitor notes
Nice little aquarium with activities for kids. Tickets for adults are bit pricy thought. Did get to enjoy the visit, was able to walk around the whole aquarium in less than 1-2 hours. Touch tanks are fun as well.
Fun, wonderful experience. We had a great time, and found most of the exhibits and aquariums beautiful. The diner 71 Café was better than expected, but prepare for chaos (not the staff, the customers). Our only gripe: ...some of the enclosures were way too small for certain animals/fish, almost claustrophobic, and some of the animals themselves (birds, turtles, some reptiles, and fish)did not look healthy at all... Other than that, highly recommended 👍🏻
My 23-year-old son and I decided to spend some quality time together at the The Florida Aquarium, and it turned out to be an amazing experience from start to finish. The entire staff was on point—super friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the visit even better. You can tell they care about creating a great experience for guests. We went on a weekday a few days before Easter, so it was definitely busy, but not to the point where it felt overwhelming. There was still plenty of space to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. One thing that really stood out was how clean everything was. The common areas were spotless, which always makes a big difference when you’re spending a few hours somewhere. Just a heads up—you do have to pay for parking, so plan for that when you go. Overall, we had an absolute blast. It was the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and quality time together. I highly recommend it for all ages—you won’t be disappointed. FYI- Buy your tickets in advance.
Google had said it would take about 2-3 hours to walk through. As a solo without kids, I was able to walk through in about an hour but I did arrive right at opening (9am) with a pre purchased ticket ($50) so I was able to enter first and fairly quickly. I liked that it is set up as a one way flow. I was shocked that the very first area had such low hanging tanks. A menace really could dip a hand in if they wanted to. There isn't a 360 tunnel to walk through but the area has other great exhibits like the area to touch the stingrays and the tide pool creatures. As well as one very large viewing tank area with seating and small viewing area with seating. There were plenty of employees along the way to ask questions and chat with. Everyone was so friendly! Overall I really enjoyed my time and was happy with the reasonable gift shop prices. Would visit again and would recommend to family and friends.
My family and I visited Tampa on vacation and wanted to experience as much as possible during our trip, so we chose the aquarium as one of our must-see attractions. It turned out to be a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the marine life. They were happy to answer all of our questions and made the visit both educational and enjoyable. We especially loved the interactive exhibits, where we were encouraged to touch some of the marine animals. That hands-on experience made the visit even more memorable and fun for the whole family. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our visit such a great experience. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tampa!
It was my first time going. The Aquarium is so beautiful and full of educational tanks filled with lots of different creatures. They even have scooters for disabled customers, which I was grateful for. I will definitely go again. I highly recommend Florida Aquarium to all ages!
Beautiful, well kept, and very healthy animals! Had a blast. As an Okie the price was kinda surprising. ~$120+ for my wife and I and $50-55 sweaters! But I’d say it was definitely worth it. We even got to touch a live moon jellyfish!
