Tacoma Art Museum

More things to look at then you would think! Definitely worthwhile. The permanent collection exhibit was a bit scartered but the themed one were fantastic and wonderfully intentional. I definitely had to add more time to the parameter.

My son and I had a great time, having never been before! He wished it was bigger but it was very cool. Parking was easy to access and $4, we got in for $2 per family by showing our EBT card. We highly enjoyed all the sculptures and it was not too crowded

Absolutely gorgeous art museum that truly encapsulated Pacific Northwest art. Staff was kind, the lay out was peaceful and provocative, and the art work from beginning to end was very special.

Went on a Sunday and had a great time. Very pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very inviting and warm.

Free on Thursdays 5pm-8pm. They also have spaces you can use without paying admission. They have a cafe, a rooftop deck with tables and beautiful views of the city and mountain, and a space where people of all ages can make their own art or read books!

We had our wedding at the Tacoma Art Museum and it was fabulous! They handled all of our preparations with ease and very clear communication throughout the entire process. Creating floorpans and quick pivots made things so much easier and they even helped coordinate with our catering staff to make sure things ran smoothly. We paid for 2 galleries to be open for our event and got nothing but compliments on how cool and beautiful their collections were! They definitely have their rules, but it was nothing crazy and also to be expected with the nature of being a museum. We highly recommend having your event at TAM, they're amazing!!

Excellent exhibit with anything from paintings, prints, photography, textiles made into art, glass sculptures a true sensory delight. All the colors and shapes were amazing. Super nice and knowledgeable staff are available to answers all your questions. They have a cafe on the main floor, a gift shop and three levels in the building. Once on the top floor you get a nice view of the city and if lucky on a clear day the opportunity for very nice pictures of the structures surrounding the museum. You are within walking distance from the glass museum and other amenities in the area. Breweries, restaurants and nice scenery everywhere. I highly recommend this location.
