Crystal Cave

This was an incredible experience. Very informative and fun! The total darkness part was epic! The gift shop is full of fossils, stones, geodes, jewelry and crystals of all sizes, styles and at any price point. A must-have experience!

We had a great time, the tour “rocked” and our tour guide Abby was the best!! Very well done and there are other things to do besides the cave tour.

Such a cool experience! I've been here several times as an adult and I still geek out - every. Time. Tour differs a bit than 10 years ago but otherwise you get to see mostly the same things. Excellent fun thing for a hot day - it's 50° in the cave! They now have mini golf outside, which was affordable and super fun!

We visited Crystal Cave because our 5 year old grandson wanted his birthday party there. What a great place! We toured the caves led by William who shared a wealth of info. The caves were super interesting to explore - fun stories shared. All the kids and grandkids had a good time. After the cave, the birthday party began in the picnic shelter. At Crystal Cave, you can buy either bags or buckets of sand that contain precious stones or fossils. The kids can sluice the sand in the special sluice area. That was a blast as many stones and fossils were found! After cake, we headed over to play mini golf and explore the garden paths. It was the best birthday party/family get-together ever! Please go there with your family!

More people need to go and pan for minerals, rocks and gems. We’ve brought all the grandkids now and enjoyed every visit! The staff is friendly, and helpful with kids and adults.

We had a great time visiting the cave. The guide was knowledgeable about the history and associated scientific facts. Well worth the stop!

Took my 3 littles because they LOVE rocks and I actually enjoyed the tour myself! Unlike other cave tours I've done, this tour was far superior!! Usually the cave smells incredibly bad and the walkways are very slippery, but that's the not the case here! The steps and ramps were covered with a carpet, so it wasn't slick at all. The cave also did NOT have a bad smell at all. Our tour guide was Savannah and she was engaged and entertaining! The tour is an hour and goes by quickly, I could have enjoyed a few more minutes to take in each cave room. There is a lot to do on the property, they have several picnic tables and even a covered pavilion. They also do gemstone mining which feels great splashing in the water on a hot day! There are several prairie & wood trails to walk with plaques teaching you about the scene. They also have a mini golf course!! Bathrooms are only available in the lodge separate from the gift shop or down 1 level from the gift shop in the tour debriefing room.
