Mardi Gras Tuesday "A Taste Of New Orleans" Sherman Oaks

Update 6/19/26 - flavors are still amazing but our server wasn’t very nice even tho we were the first costumers to come in today.. Absolutely amazing flavors! If you’re looking for Southern food done right this is the spot! My favorites are, the catfish, red beans and rice, their cornbread is to die for too - the shrimp po’boy is so good and a very nice portions. I’ve had the brunch shrimp and grits, beignets once and they hit the spot!!

We came here as out-of-town visitors to LA since we are staying nearby in Sherman Oaks area. It's definitely worth the visit, their gumbo is the bomb and made to my perfection, yum yum 😋 and the Madi Gras pasta is crazy delicious too. The staffs are super friendly as well as the owner/manager who goes around every table to greet and make sure the customers are well taken care of. This place is an absolute gem. Stop reading the reviews and just go eat there now. Your taste buds and tummy will be very grateful.

I had my food delivered through a delivery service the gumbo was delicious and you get a lot for the price it comes with garlic bread slices and rice I ordered the rice on the side. I ordered hush puppies I haven't tasted them yet but I'm sure they're delicious

Good place to experience. The service was a tad slow (I was on a lunch break meeting and had to get back to work), so I will know next time that I need to give 1.5 hours to eat lunch here. The shrimp po' boy was good. The crab cakes were excellent, and the peach cobbler is worth going back for!. The ambiance is really nice. This would be good to meet up with friends or even a date.

Omg. The flavor! A friend and I stopped by for happy hour and we were sooo impressed. Every thing we tasted was delicious and seasoned soo well. Our favorites were the catfish bites, the gumbo cup, and the wingettes which come with seasoned fries. The manager was the sweetest! He was so welcoming and attentive. Our food and drinks were out quickly and we have absolutely zero complaints. We will definitely be back and encourage you all to visit.

We ordered the catfish basket, and jambalaya, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. 😋 Portions are generous, and the food came out quickly and piping hot! ♨️ Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. A nice meal.

Omgsh, we’ve been looking for Chargrilled Oyster outside of New Orleans after visiting and going on a Chargrilled Oyster tour to feed the cravings (self guided of course lol). Finally checked out this spot and omgsh, just let me say *Chefs kiss *. Will definitely be back. Staff and service were also amazing!

We moved from Houston a couple of a years go and really missed Cajun food and boy did this place hit the spot! Amazing flavors! Mark the manager was so kind and hospitable and made sure we had an amazing time. His recommendations were perfect and even shared with us that two items we got on the menu were created by the staff themselves by mixing up things in the kitchen they liked - as I feel like all the best things are created! We got: -Jumbalaya Spring Rolls (revolutionary, life changing) -Taste of New Orleans Trio (Red Beans and Rice, Gumbo and Crawfish Etouffe) -Shrimp and Grits (wow) -Peach Cobbler Spring Rolls We also had the Sazzy cocktail and it was very sweet but delicious! Will be back again. 😍
