Filippi's Pizza Grotto Santee

Today I went to celebrate my friends birthday. Had a great time. The food is amazing. Started out with a large antipasti salad with warm , fresh bread and lots of butter. Had a large fit for a king pizza. All yummy lots of leftovers. The service was excellent thanks to Cheryl. Will be back again. Thank you for a great experience.Marla and Stephanie

Riquísimas las pizzas y ensaladas. Buen servicio, sirven rápido la comida. Tienen barra de bebidas con alcohol también. Tiene máquina para poner música. Lugar familiar con bar.

The service is very good the waiter gave me a cup of coke its a cool vibe here. the food kinda needs more flavor they have very large portions here be mindful to either share it or eat it later at home. and very plenty of space here and very cool place but overall, the vibes are good friendly staff and the foods not my favorite not trying to be rude.

For over thirty years Philipi's pizza grotto was one of our favorite places to get italian food. 2 years ago, we stopped going. Why? Because we got a really awful Pizza. It was completely greasy. Not at all what we came to expect from this place. We decide to try it again this week. We observed that he windows, floors & bathrooms looked dingy. The walls needed a fresh coat of paint. The floors needed a deep clean. Starting with the bread , it arrived cold and tasted like something that was purchased from the store. Our Lasagna was not hot. The the sauce was brought to us on the side. I was shocked, and I was ready to leave , but my wife was really hungry. She asked the waitress to cook the sauce in the Lasagna, as it normally comes. The waitress came back with in one minute , so she clearly just poured the sauce on top of it and brought it back. We ate it and found that it lacked flavor. Certainly , not the normal experience that we've known all these years. The salad was mostly the white butts , completely lacking flavor. it did not taste good. There was not enough dressing , we requested more dressing and was told that our small salad went from $9 to $13 just to receive enough dressing to cover the salad. Now, i'm not complaining simply for the fact that our lasagna salad and bread came to almost forty dollars. Because if it was excellent , they should get the price that they deserve. But a dirty, outdated restaurant that is falling apart, giving lousy service and subquality food should not be getting almost $40 for Lasagna bread and a salad. Olive Garden makes this place Look like a joke and it should be the other way around , we were very , very disappointed all the way around by the whole experience. Whoever is managing this place should be ashamed to call it an italian restaurant.

Fun casual Italian dining, the salads were great and the pizza was an tide of cheese We ordered way too much food. The tea is fresh brewed but it is $3.95 but that’s just the price of inflation these days.

Stopped by for lunch around noonish, I had a med the works pizza. Their food is on point. I absolutely love their pizza. The service was good.you can definitely tell this is a family restaurant, no tvs or loud music around so you can definitely have some quality family time without all the distractions.

Super hungry or at work and the whole team's starving? Order from this place, it's amazing! I order from here for my warehouse and everyone loves it, it's so cheesy, one slice fills you right up, amazing service.
