If you look through reviews (here and Yelp), you'll find their security staff is pretty aggressive and seems to enjoy escalating things to try and bring about physical altercations and the chance to use force. This includes being physically aggressive with women (see other reviews). This is not a good business practice. Last weekend, I visited. There was a guy talking and blocking one of the hallways. In a very polite way (keep in mind I'm 5'6 and 140 lbs, while he's a massive heavyset black man with dreads), I asked if I could get by him on the left. He happened to be a bouncer (I didn't realize) and started laying into me in an aggressive manner and stepping forward, constantly repeating if I could wait and if I knew how to wait and if I wanted to go home right now. He just kept at it. Now keep in mind, I was sober. I kept my calm tone tone and never once re-asked to get by him or took a single step forward. I just stood there while he had a temper tantrum. Reminded me of guys outside frat houses trying to get someone else to step up into a fight. There is no way that a patron simply asking to get by someone warrants that response. There's poor leadership going on here if that's how staff members react to something so minor. While it's a private business, it's open to the public. In normal society, it's okay for people try to get by others by asking to get by. It's a normal thing (though, note, there's reviews on Yelp talking about people being shoved by security just wanting to get by). This isn't bootcamp or prison or TSA line. Be professional. Control yourself like a normal adult. Maybe focus on people there stealing cellphones (it's well-known that happens at this place and reported on reviews) or reports of people trying to drug women (that was also reported on reviews). Another bar close by is being sued for $2.3 million because a bouncer got too physical with a patron. I feel like the manger/owner should protect one's self and the business and step in. Also, just for ethical purposes. This could easily happen here. Or one day, they try to get physical with someone who's an off-duty or someone doing an ABC check, who's not going to let it slide and bring legal attention to the business...

This place is consistently a fun time … they usually play lots of solid electronic music bangers. The crowds are generally here for a fun time. The layout of the place can get a bit packed but has a nice mix of inside & outside areas. Overall it draws a good mix of locals and tourists for a fun vibe 😎

I have never dined here. I usually go for the salsa dancing. It's 12 cover charge and you get to learn salsa and bachata if get there by 8:00 pm. Great crowd and mostly friendly people. A lot of regulars too. The instructor is great and provides lessons for a fee at her studio if you're serious about learning salsa.

Good ambience, good food. Make sure you’re healthy enough to come to this place. They will check your temperature before you’re in and they will give you barcode to see the menu. We order some food and it’s delicious and had pretty big size. Red velvet pancake, burger and fries.

The Victorian was highly discriminatory. The security was very subjective about who they allowed and clearly demonstrated highly discriminatory behavior. I was hesitant about going to this venue to begin with but now I am certain this is a venue I never wish to attend and anyone who values any sliver of moral integrity or taste would not attend any event or event held by this venue.

The Victorian doesn’t ease you in, it pulls you straight into its story. One minute you’re standing in front of a century-old mansion that looks like it should be hosting a quiet tea service, and the next you’re inside a three-level playground where the night decides what kind of person you’re going to be. The ground floor keeps things classy with that old parlor charm, the upstairs leans into warm reds and packed-house energy, and the Basement Tavern is where the real pulse kicks in. Dark corners, louder conversations, cocktails with a little swagger in the glass. Every room feels like it has secrets of its own, and the crowd always shows up ready to write a few more. By the time you step back outside, the ocean air caresses you back to reality, and you realize this place didn’t just give you a night out, it handed you a story worth remembering.

Came here on a busy Friday night. Started off in the basement bar where we got some drinks and listened to live music. Then explored the 1st floor and outside. Finally went upstairs to the birdcage and danced the night away. Very cool venue which has a bit of everything for everyone.
