Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier

During a recent family vacation to Los Angeles, we visited Pacific Park, located along the Santa Monica Pier. The amusement area is compact, lively, and positioned directly over the ocean, which creates a distinctive backdrop across its rides and walkways. It offers a family-friendly setting with a steady flow of activity, making it engaging for visitors of all ages. The environment can become crowded, especially on weekends and during peak travel periods such as spring break, so staying together is important in shared spaces. The surrounding beach area adds to the overall experience, though the sand terrain is not user friendly and can be challenging for individuals with mobility limitations. Overall, it delivers a memorable coastal amusement park experience with strong views, approachable attractions, and a welcoming atmosphere that invites return visits.

Always heard of this place and have now discovered it what a great venue. The crowds were big but still comfortable to get around the pier and see everything. Take note plenty of food restaurants opposite the pier I recommend going right to the end of pier right before sunset 🌅 for a magical photo shot.

What a great value for money if you are looking for a quick half day of fun especially with kids!! Buy tickets or unlimited ride package in advance, they are cheaper online!! Fun!!

Reasonable pricing to purchase an all day pass for kids 7 and under. The roller coaster stays running in the rain while most others shutdown. The pier is a nice place to stop, especially while on a bike ride. 2 hours at this place is plenty of time to experience this novelty.

I enjoyed the pier myself, but its crazy to see a random guy holding up a sign "I need money for weed". Nice music and the Bubba Gumps food was really good. Just be aware, fights happen in the parking lot. 😭

Fun place to get that LA Beach vibe, Lovely view too of the ocean. Place does feel safe. Great to hang out with kids and ternagers.

Fun time. I hadn’t been to the pier since I was a youngster. I’ve gone to the beach, but in my teens I preferred boogie boarding. It was a great time—you could spend the entire day there. I enjoyed looking at all the rides and games. To tell you the truth, I thought there was only a Ferris wheel; I didn’t know there were other rides and attractions like that, so I was pleasantly surprised. And there are many restaurants nearby.

Great amusement park with many carnival rides. Staff are very helpful and working hard to help customers enjoy complex.
