Admittedly, Greenvale has been one of my favorite vineyards in the Newport area for years. What I love the most about it is the relaxing vibe. You can do a tasting, order a bottle, and bring your own food to set up on the patio, lawn or in the stable for a picnic. Some days there is a food truck onsite as well. Depending on the vintage year, my favorite wine tends to change. This year, I really liked the Vidal Blanc. It was aromatic and crisp, perfectly refreshing for a warm day. At times on the weekends, they will have live music, so it’s a great place to hang out with friends. Also, for my fellow dog moms, our furry babies are allowed here (human babies as well!). They have an event space in the farm/stable building and they recently built a new facility for wine production. We have been here during all seasons and it truly never disappoints! Lentz_explore

We got married at Greenvale Vineyards in June 2025, and it was everything we hoped for. From our first wine tasting to the day itself, we felt genuinely welcomed by the family who runs Greenvale. We were on a first name basis with Billy the winemaker, Karen who runs the tasting room, and even Nancy, the vineyard owner. After signing on as a couple, we found ourselves returning again and again to enjoy their latest varietals - which meant the venue never felt like just a rental. It felt like home. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The second we saw the ceremony site, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. We started our ceremony in the Chardonnay Fields and had guests follow a winding path down to the waterfront for the reception. Being able to map out our own day throughout the vineyard made the experience deeply personal and unique. Yes, we had to coordinate our own vendors and handle some of the logistics ourselves, but that flexibility meant we got exactly the day we wanted. What really sets Greenvale apart is that it's an actual place people come back to. Wine tastings, food trucks, live music. It's not just a venue, it's somewhere you build memories. Supporting a local, family-run business while celebrating felt really special, and getting married overlooking the water I grew up boating on made it that much more meaningful.
We throughly enjoyed our experience at Greenvale. We were lucky enough to get to talk to the owner and learn about the history of her family and the land. The wines were delicious and the views were amazing!
My friends and I had a lovely time spending time here. The owners were so friendly and even gave us some fun tidbits about their vineyard. The wines were unique and we really liked the ones we chose for our tasting. You can bring your own snacks to accompany your wine and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Bonus points for being dog friendly and that the owners’ dog, Willa comes over and says hello to you!
We only went there at first to hear a band that we love and follow! Boy, Were we surprised! Greenvale Vineyards is a really awesome winery! We definitely will be back!
Such a beautiful vineyard. We had perfect fall day. Beautiful views. Great outdoor love music. Plenty of seating. Very enjoyable.
Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating on a chilly June day. Great wine (Vidal Blanc) at a wonderful price. Then to top it off the Colescott Rubin & Bros we're performing!! Fun fun fun music and performers!
A wonderful experience to share with friends and family, beautiful views and remarkable wine. The vineyard is quite large and can accommodate a lot of people within a vintage pavilion or picturesque outdoor setting. The staff are friendly and well versed on local vines. Parking is not an issue as there are plenty of designated areas around and in between the vineyards. Normal wine glass portions are served as well as an exquisite selection of flights if you choose to do so. Highly recommended for those who are searching to have a spectacular time and eager to experience the beauty of New England wine culture.
