I hadn't been here since I was a kid, but really enjoyed the visit. I thought the fair would just be a bunch of rides, but there was so much in terms of exhibits, livestock shows, etc.that it catered to different tastes. There's also a really great historical character to these fairgrounds. Worth a visit.

Been to Alameda County Fairgrounds a few times now. First for the county fair and then again for a reptile expo. Totally different experiences but both were solid. The fair is what you’d expect. Food, rides, a lot going on, gets busy but in a good way. The reptile expo was actually really cool too. Way more organized than I thought it would be. Easy to walk around and check everything out without feeling packed in. Definitely a good spot for events like that.

My wife surprised me with going to see the lights here.. this year. It was our very 1st time ever paying to see Christmas lights. She paid $16 per ticket for the 7:30 pm slot. However, upon arriving.. we were met with many other ppl/cars waiting as well. We got there at 7:30 pm. We waited on a extremely long line. Got to the front at about 8pm. We were there for only 20 mins or even less honestly... then it was done. The lights were meh. Was nothing extraordinary nor extravagant. Nothing popped.. or truly jumped out. It was flat!. This should have been done better overall.

First time here today, great weather to be out and about with the family, they have everything to offer from animals, kid friendly rides, older kids rides, relaxing rides for adults, seating for the world cup game, little shops inside air conditioned room, art gallery and amazing food! I loved everything that they had to offer today! I had so many great food and drinks! I would say the prices are quite fair, to the point where if you paid for playing games, you'll guarantee a win unlike back in the days (iykyk)! I love that I can smell the wood fired smoke throughout the entire venue with great music!

What's so special about this place? It's more of a money pit than a fun place to go to. And the stuff the vendors are selling are terrible in quality. Probably a bunch of Temu junk from China. It's a glorified flea market. Most of the food was mediocre at best. The baked potato was terrible by the way. The ice cream cones are overpriced, and the only thing I thought wasn't too bad was the asasda quesadilla right by the movie projector. Other than that, the food wasn't all of that. If you plan on coming here, be prepared to spend at least $200+ per person

Great attraction and a lot of light displays. Take the kids early because the line is very long just to get in. We went for the 8pm and due to the 40 min wait to just get in, my nephew went to sleep and missed it all.
