Point Pinos Lighthouse (1855)

Kept time period correct, Docents where very helpful and quite knowledgeable. Grounds kept emaculant. Even flew a period correct American Flag 😁 . Prices where very affordable. With a fee option for viewing the grounds/garden area.

Cute little lighthouse with sprawling green golf course on one side and the beach on the other. The eucalyptus trees at its parking greets you with a fresh minty fragrance. This lighthouse closes at 3pm so we couldn’t visit from inside but did walk and drive around it.

Very interesting and affordable place to visit. $7/per The tour guides are knowledgeable and share lots of history about the lighthouse and it's surroundings. I recommend stopping off while hiking along the point pinos ocean trail.

Absolutely phenomenal visit. The ticket lady left a whole lot to be desired. Definitely need someone that is friendly and welcoming .. didn't get that with her. But the volunteers inside providing the tour details were fantastic. Very informative and very happy to be of service. It was a beautiful lighthouse and I loved learning about the history of the lighthouse and Pacific Grove. The grounds were very well taken care of, tons of flowers, trees, informative plaques, and deer. Loved my visit, will be back again.

Still in operation despite its age. I took a whale watching tour and you could see the rhythmic flashes of light from miles out in the sea even in overcast daylight. Its in a very visible location that's hard to miss from the water. Wish I had time to do the tour of the lighthouse.

Docents are always very kind and knowledgeable, and very happy to have visitors! Property is so well upkept and free to enter, and only $7 for adults to go inside. Beautiful views and history.

This was a very wonderful experience. The docents are so informative and kind. Such amazing history is preserved it is still being used for the ships safety and we learned a lot. The view is phenomenal.

What an amazing piece of history! So grateful to everyone who has preserved this beautiful place and it’s story over the years. Every person we met working here was so passionate, knowledgeable, and kind. You can tell they truly love what they do and are excited to share their joy. It was such a treat to explore the lighthouse and imagine what life would be like living there. We got to visit on a beautiful day and some people were even able to spot whales from the lookout in the lighthouse. Thank you to everyone who makes this place possible!
