Spoke with many people Mark,Dan,John,Anthony and others. Their expertise, professionalism and knowledge was superb but they all added kindness and understanding of a terrible situation I was in to make sure we would have a successful outcome to the best of their ability. Anthony in the end was my main contact and he worked so hard with great compassion to fix every issue. I think this is the best company/people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with in such difficult circumstances. My gratitude to them and a great company is immense! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Very expensive but worth it if you find yourself in a desperate situation. In our case, we had a snapped USB drive that had a handful of important files that weren't recently backed up (yes, I know, I know!). The turnaround time for even the lowest price tier was exceptionally fast, and the customer service and communication were fantastic at every step. When I initially received the drive back, one of the files was corrupted. The team was able to retrieve an uncorrupted version, and a replacement drive was overnighted to me. It's worth noting that the quoted price was for labor only and didn't include the cost of the recovery drive or return shipping, so expect to pay just a bit more than the price provided in the quote. Still, I was astounded at the work they were able to do. They've earned every bit of their reputation as the gold standard in the field of data recovery. Thank you, DriveSavers!
When you call you will recieve an extremely wide range of how much it will cost to recover your data based on what you tell them. Expect the HIGHEST price they give you. Im not dissatisfied with their work at all. They were able to recover files from a flash drive. However they couldn't tell me what happened. When I called originally the range I received was $700 - $3900 They had my flash drive in hand less than 4 hrs before they called with another range of $2800 - $3900 Can you guess what my end price was? $3,500 after a 10% off coupon that I received from the company that referred me. I believe they take advantage of desperate people. Especially when the files are irreplaceable. I wish they would just give the highest price out of the gate because trust me thats what it will be
We lost our home in the Altadena Fires and though we had our hard drives stored inside an 1800 degree fire safe that was also inside another 2400 degree rated gun safe, the case holding the drives melted shut and the drives were practically obliterated. Chips and SMD's were molten flat onto the circuit boards and much of the drive was badly damaged and burned. Drive Savers worked tirelessly for months and did everything under their power and were able to retrieve nearly all of the data from one of the drives that contained countless videos of my kids growing up and photo's and projects that I had thought were lost forever. They also extended me the thoughtful gift of getting this drive's data for free, and though I could not afford to press on to do the other drives for the price, I am forever grateful for the generosity and kindness that they showed me and my family. Their engineers, management, and executives should be commended for the work that they do and the help they extend to those in need.
DriveSavers absolutely lives up to their stellar reputation. Crashed drive that couldn't be removed from the board? No problem for these guys. Highly recommend.
I’m extremely happy with the results of Drivesaver’s data recovery. They saved invaluable memories and valuable data. Thank you, Drivesavers, from the bottom of my heart ♥️! Excellent customer service and results.
Honest review: TLDR: The recovered probably half of my files, but didn't warn me about how many corrupt files would be on present the "recovered" drive they returned to me - giving the appearance of a recovered file. Also, I was charged almost 4 grand and customer service after the fact was a joke. I tried two other places who couldn't recover my files and they both recommended Drive Savers to me. One business warned me that their prices "start at" 2k even though they'll quote you for less. I would agree with that now, after the fact. Even though when I told this to the customer service rep who initially took my order, he discouraged that idea and gave me hope. Side note, that first rep whose voice was like butter and he was ABOVE and beyond helpful and patient - he was no longer the person I was allowed to speak with after the repair was done. And that's honestly part of the problem. The guy I spoke with first was a smooth salesman and flaunted the glitz and glam of what they could do for me and the people I spoke with when there was a problem - #1 didn't follow up with me and #2, they didn't seem to care. It was the equivalent of getting through to a call center who patches you through to multiple other people until you just give up. I will say that you can send them your damaged drive for free and you're not committed to going through with their recovery plan if the prices don't fit your budget. That's kind of nice, but also, they give you a range of prices you could potentially pay and my recovery hit highest off of what they quoted even though I feel like I was made to believe it would likely be on the lower end. They ask if you have certain files that you need to have recovered and if they are able to recover those files - opening them to ensure they're intact - I think that is what they use to gauge if the recovery is a success. They simply do not check to see if the files they were able to "recover" are actually not corrupt. They place the files into a new hard drive and then it's up to you to sift through and find out how many of your files are corrupt and unusable. When I started to discover how many of my files were unrecoverable, I contacted Drive Savers and I was asked to make a list of the files that were corrupt and what error message I was receiving when I tried to open them. I started to go through my files and compile a list of corrupt files and when it started to become a lot and take a lot of my time to sort through, I contacted Drive Savers again and they tried to walk me through a screen share to find out if it was simply my programs that had the issues and not the files. Spoiler - it was the files, not my programs. I had hope when a rep asked me to send him the list of files that wouldn't open because they DO keep a copy of your data in the event that you have issues with the files they've send you back. I let him know it was NOT an exhaustive list, but I could compile a complete list if they were able to go back to my data and recover my files properly. They were not able to recover my data completely. They simply explained that they don't check the files, they just "recover" them and place them on a new hard drive and send it back to you. In the end, it's very disheartening to know that Drive Savers doesn't confirm that your files are NOT corrupt before sending them back to you. I feel like I was charged $4,000 for recovering all my data when really, I got a portion of the data.
I'm writing this review as a potential customer. I while ago I suffered a catastrophic data loss, it really out me in a bad situation. I searched a few online options and came across Drivesavers. I was surprised that they were in my neck of the woods so I gave them a call. Their staff was professional and courteous. Unfortunately I was in a tight spot financially at the time and after several back and forths I just couldn't take them up on their service. One of the cool things about dropping off my drive and picking it up is that their lobby is a museum of pop culture (i didn't expect that). Actors and studios take their broken computers to Drivesavers for what I would assume a happy ending. If you got a sad chapter in your computer's story give them a call or email and I'm sure they'll workout a good final chapter.
