Dave's Hot Chicken

We’ve dined in and done takeout here a few times now, and it’s always been consistently good. The chicken is flavorful, portions are generous, and the prices are great for what you get. They’re also always adding new items, which keeps it interesting. Today I tried the loaded fries (small), and it was the perfect size for me—so delicious and satisfying. It was also my first time trying the mac and cheese, and it was super saucy and really good. My husband got his usual 2-tender plate, which is always a hit. Overall, a solid spot for casual, tasty comfort food. We’ll definitely keep coming back. Also, open late, on delivery platforms and has parking lot for dining in /take out.

Came here two days in a row for the X-men 97 figures and experienced fantastic service each day from Sarah at the Northridge location. Food was tasty but I really wanted to commend the great customer service. It’s the reason we chose to come back to the same location as before.

Perfect college spot after class or late-night study sessions. The food is always fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor, and the portions are worth the price. The sliders and fries never miss, and the spice levels actually bring the heat. Definitely one of the go-to food spots around CSUN.

I visited Dave's Hot Chicken on June 22, 2026, at approximately 11:15 PM and asked for a water cup. The employee told me they did not have any water cups and that I would need to purchase a regular drink cup. What frustrated me was that I had just seen him give a regular drink cup to a woman before me, so I know cups were available. Instead of offering a solution, I was given no option other than paying for a cup. The situation felt inconsistent and left me disappointed with the customer service. I hope management reviews this matter and provides additional training to ensure customers are treated fairly and consistently. For reference, I have attached a photograph of the employee involved so management can accurately identify him and conduct a thorough review of this incident.

They have HOT chicken. I would say comparable to Hattie Bs Nashville Hot chicken. Why eat wings when you can have Dave's Hot chicken? Fast service, good flavor on the chicken. Medium and Hot is great. Did not try pass HOT.

I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and a big reason for that was the outstanding service from Tristan. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed. He took the time to answer my questions, made great recommendations, and kept a positive attitude the entire time. It’s rare to find customer service that genuinely makes you feel appreciated, but Tristan definitely went above and beyond. The food was incredible, and his excellent service made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back because of the great atmosphere he helped create. I had a great experience at Cars Hot Chicken! The food was really good, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The customer service was excellent as well. Ozzy was especially amazing—very cheerful, friendly, and easy to talk to. He made the experience even better with his positive attitude and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to others!

Came here after not been to a daves hot chicken in a while. Chicken was fine but the amount of coleslaw served on the slider was abysmal. The coleslaw was very savory and fresh and a great portion enough to even spill out a bit before. Now its barely anything, blink and you’ll miss it. The motzarella sticks were hard and cold once our order was received. Nobody likes cold cheese, very disappointing. Also, $1.50 for the smallest amount of ranch is insane! Did a feedback review to their website and all I got was we will do better next time, as if.
