Visited from out of town and wanted to visit a jazz supper club. Smoke did not disappoint! We ended up with late show tickets so we arrived early to have dinner. I am pescatarian and they had several options. I ended up with salmon which was delicious! They have a great selection of cocktails and wine as well. They offer outdoor seating and were showing the World Cup which was great. The space is sexy and the staff is very attentive and kind. The music venue is intimate and every seat is a great seat! We were seated next to the drummer which was quite the experience. The Emmet Cohen Trio was great! Overall it was a fabulous experience and I highly recommend visiting. I know I’ll be back when I’m in town again!

The music is good here. However, the entrée minimum makes little sense when guests may already be spending an equivalent amount on appetizers, desserts, and drinks. My husband ordered the New York strip steak ($68) with a side of fries, and we both ordered drinks. I wanted to order an appetizer and dessert, but I was told that I was required to purchase an entrée. To make matters worse, the entrée I ordered—the “roasted” vegetable terrine—arrived cold. Our water glasses were also not refilled until the very end of the show, despite our final bill exceeding $150. Most frustratingly, the entrée requirement is not clearly disclosed when purchasing tickets; it appears only in the confirmation email after the purchase has already been made. The performance was good, but the dining policy and service made the overall experience extremely disappointing. Left hungry. Stupid rule.

Smoke Jazz Club in Manhattan is a whole mood. 🎷✨ The energy is laid-back and classy—more “hidden lounge” than loud nightclub—and the vibe feels like you stumbled into something special. The band was smooth as silk. The saxophone had this rich, warm tone, and the piano and drums kept everything flowing effortlessly—chilled sounds all night without ever feeling boring. Just good music you can really sink into. The drinks matched the experience too: well-crafted, balanced, and straight-up on point. Plus the staff were genuinely attentive, checking in at the right times and making sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, it’s that low-key, members-only style spot where you can relax, enjoy the music, and feel like you’re part of the moment. Definitely worth going.

Was a nice cozy and warm, welcoming was fantastic. Seating was quick. Food was excellent. However, table are very tiny seating are very tight. Music was nice was expecting more. No one singing just playing on instrument player was professional not up to my test.

It’s a small club, so you really get to feel the intensity up close. Before and after the show, you can interact with the musicians in the lounge. The food is excellent.

There's no other Jazz Club like Smoke. I've been going there for years before the renovation. It maintains it's status of elegance, great management, good food and service. I go to many jazz clubs that honestly aren't excellent in all these categories. The musicians are some of the greats. Thank you for maintaing your excellan e.

The new Smoke is a massive upgrade. The venue is much larger now, which means the bar has leveled up—the cocktails are easily some of the best in the city. The kitchen is still undefeated; the food is as awesome as ever. We saw Theo Croker, and while it was a modern, stripped-back set, the band was incredibly sharp. The Music: A very cool, modern jazz feel. The Twist: Even without a DJ or heavy electronics, Theo and the band held it down. The Talent: Theo’s trumpet work was top-tier, and the ensemble playing was seamless. A great night of music that actually fills the bigger room perfectly. Between the great kitchen and the martinis, it’s still one of the best dinner show in town.

Just left the 6:30 show. Our dinner sitting was scheduled for 6pm. That was perfect timing if you do not order apps. If you think you will, 5:30 seating may be better. It was perfect for us because we just ordered entrees & drinks. Both were very good. If you like a smooth slightly tart but not cloyingly sweet cocktail, ask for a Casa Migos Reposado South Street. Our uber driver recommended anything seafood. I had the seafood special with couscous & broccolini. All cooked perfectly. Hubby had the mushroom ragu & the polenta sticks & mushrooms were savory & flavorful without being spicy. Most of all, excellent jazz music! Loved the vibe, band, stories. A tween-ager sitting next to me was rockin’ to the jazz and it was a joy to see. Sorry review is so long. It was just a fabulous, memorable experience that I highly recommend.
