I came in with my micro bully Shayla going through a heat stroke and they immediately took her in and started working on her. They gave her oxygen, they gave her medication and cooled her down so her temperature wouldn’t get worse. The doctors where very attentive and keeping me up dated on her condition. After several hours of them working on Shayla she pulled through thank goodness. It was a really close call. The doctors, the staff and the receptionist where extremely helpful kind and friendly. I highly recommend Riverside hospital to anyone who has a furry family member to bring them here. I’m sorry I forgot the doctors name but she was amazing. They receptionist was just as kind. She actually pick up my micro bully and put Shayla in the uber she call for me. Wow that’s call great team work and empathetic heart ❤️💯. That day was a day I will never forget. I am super grateful and humbled for saving my beloved Shayla 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥲 Thank you guys so very much for your kindness and support 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💯💯💯

My wife had a visit with our highly reactive dog at the Riverside Hospital North today and upon bringing our dog to the back room (who was already terrified), she had a child of about 6 years old rush up towards our dog and reach their hands out trying to pet her face. I found this extremely inappropriate and actually very dangerous for a professional vet clinic, especially in the back of the vet where procedures and shots are given. No one ever asked if our dog is ok with children approaching her, which she’s not. If our dog had reacted aggressively towards this unknown child, then our dog would be the one put down and the vet would have zero consequences. I like to think we’re reasonable and flexible, but I’m seriously concerned that there’s a child running around the back touching animals without the owner’s consent at all. If all guests knew this, I’m sure they’d be just as alarmed as we are, especially highly reactive dog owners. My wife then left a message with the vet expressing concerns and didn’t hear a reply. I went in (for a pre-existing appointment for our other dog) and happened to speak to the manager who said kids are allowed in the back as some part of community initiative. We were never informed of this and would never have given consent for our dog to be exposed to children and risk hurting them or our dog. While he assured us that liability would be on them, we care less about the money and more about risk of children and dogs hurting one another. I asked that he reach out to my wife to follow up as she was the one who experienced it but she is yet to hear back after two weeks.

I have been going to this vet for a while and I have had a few issues with wait time and them putting extra charges on my bill before consulting me however because the quality of service I let it go. This time they rescheduled my appointment because I was late when I have personally waited an hour and a half in the lobby with no communication prior. I just find it very rude for somebody that’s been going to them for so long and has personally gotten in after 10 minutes because they have a history of having a wait time once you arrive.

Had the worst experience ever. I’ve had my dog for 10 years and the Vet where I used to take him closed. I decided to take him to Riverside Animal Hospital because it’s convenient and close to home. My dog gets really anxious whenever I take him outside so I figured this location was the best place for him. His first visit to Riverside Animal hospital my dog was almost out of breath. He was so anxious that I decided to just take him home and bring him back another day. But what made it even worse was to see the lack of empathy or care from Dr Kaela Toback. I sensed from her a lack of care for an animal. She was even afraid to touch him and right away was very dismissive. She recommended I give him medicine to relax his anxiety and bring him back another day., I Decided to give it another shot. I bring him back today. My dog was much more calm but again I received the same treatment. She was more eager to give me a break down of everything he will be needing and the cost. She didn’t know how to care and examine him and just send me the invoice with her assistant. I paid just to have her look at him because she literally didn’t want to even touch him. I cannot say what kind of exam was this., I rushed out of there and decided to take him to a different hospital. I felt so sad and stress for my dog. Never again would I bring him back there. I don’t recommend this place for anyone else.

Have been having a wonderful experience w my puppy’s care so far. She had her spay surgery this week w Dr. Alex and the experience was very smooth. Dr. Alex texted throughout to alert us to anything we needed to know and was very responsive after the surgery about my puppy’s recovery and needs. We have felt very taken care of!

5 star for all the staff that took care of us today! We've been coming here since 2021, and today we have a new doctor - Dr. Toback, and she's the most thorough and caring vet I've ever encountered. Thank you Dr. Toback!

Spent almost $700 for the vet to tell us "I've never seen this before" on what turned out to be an abscess that took a couple of days for them to figure out. On top of that we were given an incomplete dose of antibiotics, and when questioned they said we were given the right amount, then backtracked when we showed them the bottle. Their estimate for a canine extraction was $2.4-3k with double charges thrown in there. We ultimately had the procedure done at another clinic for about half that price (including bloodwork, medications, and follow ups). I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I hope our experience was an exception. However, the stress and the cost we encountered merit some transparency for future patients.
