Prevu is an absolutely excellent real estate brokerage to use as a buyer if you are not interested in being charmed and chauffeured around. The agents are very professional and direct - helpful in there for you when needed - and allow you to perform your search with concierge services only as required. Cyndy in WA was very responsive when needed, and was patient with my first time questions. The process and agreements were transparent - and I received my expected rebate.

Worked with Cyndy at Prevu to purchase a new house in WA state and she was very efficient and easy to work with. All the appointments and correspondances were handled quickly and professionaly. When I was referred to Seth at Prevu, I knew I wanted to purchase an apartment in New York City, but didn't really know where to begin. Seth patiently explained the process to me, helped me understand the differences between condos and co-ops, and provided recommendations for inspectors, lenders, and attorneys he trusted. Going into this process I was concerned that a realtor might push me to purchase something I couldn't afford, or that wasn't a good deal for me. Seth explained that realtors at Prevu are paid a wage and are not incentivized to be pushy in this way. This was true in my experience. Seth never tried to convince me to do anything I didn't want to do. Though he did encourage me to at least go to showings when I was wracked with indecision at the beginning of this process. That was a good thing. This is my first time buying a home, and from what I have heard the process is more complicated here than in other places. I feel very grateful that I had Seth to guide me through all the document requirements, board interview process, and negotiations with the seller. I don't think I would have made it to closing without his help. It has been quite a process but I was able to purchase a small studio in the neighborhood I wanted, well within my price range. I can definitely recommend working with Seth for any other first time buyers in New York City!
