01/07/2026 Came here for the Sicilian pizza. They have a pretty fantastic variety of slices, and at $6 they’re a solid value. The OG cheese slice is slightly less at 5.25, should honestly be $4 in my opinion. The place was clean when I came in shortly after opening and the guy who helped me out was nice. However, they have a “no water” policy, which is honestly why I took a star off this review. Not serving water in the year 2026 is nuts. I got the Palermo, which is very close to the Sicilian sfincione that all “Sicilian” square style pizza descends from. Just breadcrumbs, oregano and sauce on a spongy focaccia/pizza hybrid dough. It was oily in a good way, the quality of the olive oil shone through. This slice was almost too tall/thick for my liking, but I will never complain about a portion being too large. Overall, great experience. I will be back, but I will bring my water bottle with me. Also, it is my strong and sincerely held opinion that any place that claims to be Sicilian or uses that demonym needs to fly a Sicilian flag inside and/or outside. Rep our people please.

My daughter was hungry for a bite, so I bought her a garlic knot. The ambience leaves something to be desired here and the service was gruff. The prices aren't bad, considering this is Soho, but this is a pretty bare bones place and not very comfortable.
This should be a 5 star place. Highly underrated. Friendly staff, decent value, clean shop and amazing pizza.
Best pizza I've ever had in NYC.
Walking down Spring Street, the neon glow of Ben’s Famous Pizza acts like a beacon for anyone craving a true New York experience. This isn’t just another grab-and-go joint; it’s a nostalgic cornerstone of Soho that has anchored this corner for decades, surviving the neighborhood’s transformation from an industrial grit to high-end fashion. While many flock here for the classic New York fold, the Vodka Slice is the undisputed heavy hitter. It’s a masterclass in balance: the sauce is rich, creamy, and velvety, carrying that signature tang that cuts through the generous layer of melted mozzarella. The crust provides the perfect structural integrity—crisp enough to handle the weight of the vodka sauce, yet maintaining that essential chewy pull. Eating a slice at Ben’s feels like stepping back into a simpler era of Manhattan. Between the classic signage and the no-frills service, it captures the soul of the city’s pizza culture. For those of us who have been coming here for years, it’s more than just a quick bite; it’s a delicious, reliable constant in an ever-changing city. Whether you're a local or just passing through, that vodka slice is a mandatory Soho rite of passage.
Great little find as we strolled along looking for something to eat. Fabulous pizza and Calzones. Great old time background music like Elvis and Frank Sinatra. It’s like a diner but for all things pizza. Loved it.
Ben’s smelled wonderful as we concluded our tour nearby with Erin from the Bowery Boys tours.Hungry & needing to sit a few, I was pleased to see something called the Palermo which I’ve never heard of, but it is essentially a no cheese slice. No fake cheese either, instead onions, breadcrumbs, tomato on a crust. Cute little tables, some music & you can buy a bottle of beer with your pizza for seven bucks. The sign says they have the best Sicilian slice. You’ll have to check it out!
Heard I had to get the upside down slice. Crusty. Good sauces. Parmigiana is tasty. Plenty of seating inside for a summer Sunday on Spring. No ac though
