Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami

Loved this museum! The Hiba Schahbaz and Diana Eusebio exhibitions were terrific. The scale and exhibition design complemented the art perfectly. They also have very friendly staff! The public art on the grounds is striking. I’ll be back. And make sure you get dessert or a drink at Sapori, the great Italian cafe next door (see my review).

Most people call this museum with great affection- MOCA. I call it MY MOCA! I am from Virginia and live here only part time. I have never felt more connected to a community than I do through this museum. MOCA isn’t just building an art scene. It is building a belonging. Free concerts in the open sky. Performances that stay with you long after you leave. Children discovering creativity year-round. MOCA meets you wherever you are and becomes what you need. I SUPPORT MOCA not only because I admire its mission, but what it gives back. North Miami residents, I believe, walk in free. Why does this matter? It says that this place belongs to everyone. For me, besides an entrance fee, it’s a check that I give willingly. For North Miamians you show your support by just showing up. But the most important thing for all of us is MOCA IS OURS and what’s ours is worth supporting. But don’t listen to me. Read the quotes in the photo section. See what other believers or supporters have said about MOCA. Don’t take my word for it. Also, I included my original thoughts but I thought too wordy. Therefore, I hope my trimmed thoughts get my point across. The art included is a piece bought by my cousin at a fundraiser. I am proud of her service to the museum.

I went here the other night after leaving Billy’s pub and I was entice to go over there because they had live jazz music out on the courtyard which I thought was awesome So I went inside to check out the art and the art was absolutely amazing It was free to get in for the night that I went coincidentally which I thought was perfect The artwork was amazing and the layout and the design was spectacular and I would highly recommend going to check it out Perfect place to go on a date or just kind of walk around and look at Art It’s not exceptionally big on the inside, but it has several room rooms Bathrooms were clean, which I loved

We went to the incredible Dolce and Gabana exhibit. We did not want to leave. Afterward, we relaxed on the balcony outside of the gift shop. Superb!

Love art! Very friendly and helpful staff great vibe but I believe all showcases museums should be free to attend

El museo es muy interesante y vale la pena visitarlo. Fui el último viernes del mes para asistir al concierto de jazz y aproveché que estaba abierto hasta más tarde, ya que su horario habitual es hasta las 17:00. Es un espacio pequeño pero bien organizado, lo que permite recorrerlo en aproximadamente una hora, apreciando cada exposición con detenimiento. Además, cuenta con una buena recepción y una tienda de regalos. Sin duda, una visita muy recomendable.

Great exhibit up now. The staff is so receptive and help guid the experience. The turn ariund in this museum is well paced never a dull show and I love how often they change out the are work.

Nice contemporary art exhibits. Smaller than I expected considering the $10 entry. I think the Lowe Art Museum and the Patricia Frost are better experiences, and both are free.
