Fire Museum of Memphis

great spot to bring the kids to check out fire trucks and gear they have a play area for kids with some simulations to interact with they also have lot of fire safety and education available

Awesome museum showcasing the history of firefighting and how it evolved in Memphis not huge but very informative and worth your time especially if you like history and old firetrucks.

We did not plan this visit we chose to visit without enough time however we were thrilled with the many many exhibits - original horse drawn to early century housed in a fantastic way. Educational interactive even us seniors played in the children's area to learn. A must educational opportunity for all ages. Very friendly guides and inexpensive admission and gift shop. We all owe our life saver firemen a visit to their museum! Will be back and allow more time need at least two hours.

This place was AWESOME! We were 3 adults and it was great can't imagine if we were kids. Its interactive, educational and staff were super nice. The escape room was fun and the fire simulator room was beyond COOL! Everything was nicely laid out and very clean as you'd expect in a firehouse. The kids play area was even fun for us!

The museum was very nice. They had some beautiful old firetucks and some neat hands on things first kids, little and big. I really recommend visiting. The two gentlemen working there were very helpful and very informative.

This museum is a treasure. I’m so amazed at how well it’s kept. All the vintage machines and history are amazing. The people that staff this place are great and they are proud firefighters. We had a personal tour from Bobo, one of the firefighters. They have quite a few exhibits for the children, including many educational ones with hands-on. It would be very disappointing if you didn’t go to this museum if you were in the neighborhood. Kudos to all involved.

Fire Museum is such a great place to take your kids! It’s never crowded and doesn’t take a ton of time to get through. I would say maybe an hour and a half to two hours. My kids always have so much fun in the play space where they can pretend to drive the fire truck and go down their fire pole. I think it’s a great mix of history and play. This museum is adorable! We took our seven and nine year old daughters and stayed for about an hour and a half. The museum has a family package, two adults and two children for $30. I thought it was a great value. The girls watched a video about the appropriate time to call 911. We explored the history of firefighting including several large engines. There are many interactive exhibits for the children. My girl's favorite was the escape maze which teaches children to check the temperature of the door before opening. We also were amazed at the house fire simulation. Good for children about ages four to 10.
