Harbor & Pine Apartments

I applied for an apartment at this community almost two months ago. After submitting all of my information, paying the fees, and providing all of the requested documents, it took them more than a week to give me a decision. During that time, I called four times and never received an update. Every time I called, I was simply told, “Give me your full name and phone number, and I’ll have someone get back to you,” but no one ever did. I eventually went to the leasing office in person, where Lexx informed me that my application had been denied due to insufficient income. However, when she reviewed my application, we discovered that much of the information I had submitted had been entered incorrectly into their system. She corrected the mistakes, but throughout the conversation she was laughing and acting as though the situation was “so funny” as she said, which I found unprofessional and embarrassing. After the information was corrected, I received another denial stating that the income documents I had submitted were not the appropriate documents needed for their evaluation. At that point, I requested a refund of my $175.00 administration fee, as I was informed that it would be refunded if my application was denied. That request was made about a month and a half ago. Lexx told me she would speak with the manager and arrange the refund. Since then, I have made seven phone calls and visited the office five times trying to get my money back. Every time, I hear the same responses: “Let me write down your name, phone number, and address. We’ll get back to you,” or “The manager is very busy and can’t handle this right now.” Assistant Community Manager Maresa repeatedly told me that I would have an answer within two or three days, yet more than a month and a half has passed without any resolution. I also returned to the office today (Wednesday, July 22nd 2026) because Maresa told me on Monday that I would receive an update by Wednesday. When I arrived, I was once again told that she had already submitted the refund request and that I would have an answer by the end of the day. I asked if she could call whoever was responsible for approving the refund while I was there so the issue could finally be resolved. She refused, saying she couldn’t call because they were all very busy with other matters. I understand that people have busy schedules, but I find it hard to believe that a refund request can remain unresolved for over a month simply because everyone is “too busy.” I then asked what time I could come back later that day to resolve the issue. She replied, “Don’t come back. I have your contact information, and I’ll call you when I have an answer. Save your time, we can resolve this over the phone or by email.” Unfortunately, after hearing similar promises for more than a month and a half, I no longer have confidence that I will actually receive the follow-up or refund I was promised. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this community. If this is how prospective residents are treated before they even move in, I can only imagine how current residents are treated. I expected professionalism, transparency, and respect, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. What should have been a simple $175.00 refund has turned into nearly two months of unanswered calls, repeated office visits, broken promises, and constant delays. I hope no one else has to go through the same experience.

I had such a great experience touring the apartment thanks to Lex. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. She answered every question thoroughly, made me feel comfortable, and truly went above and beyond to make the tour enjoyable and stress free. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping people find the right place. Amazing experience!

Lexx did a fabulous tour and the other front office staff were friendly and helpful. Harbor & Pine is on the final list because of the community amenities like the lake, trails and tree lined serenity of the property. A great property to consider.

I stopped by to look at a unit after work on a Friday, hoping it wasn’t too late in the day to see a leasing agent. Lexx was more than happy to check availability and after finding one I was interested in did not hesitate to take me out and give me not only a tour of the unit, but also of all the property’s amenities! On our way back to the office she even rescued a turtle that had found its way into the swimming pool! It was a far better experience than I could have hoped for and I can whole heartedly recommend this property and Lexx in particular to anyone searching for a new apartment home.

After sweltering in 87 degrees temp in a he apartment, and after two attempts to add Freon on the 3d day the maintenance supervisor concluded that they would need to order parts that will take 1 - 5 days. In the meantime management was only able to provide one portable air conditioning unit. As the property is over 40 years old, management needs to have more than one unit available in instances like this. Today is the second day since the parts order, and the temp is “down” to 84 the apartment.

It’s incredibly disrespectful. I’ve been calling for the past ten days just to find out whether I’ve been approved to be added as a roommate to an existing lease. I call every single day, and every time I’m told that someone will call me back—but no one ever does. To make matters worse, my roommate and I wanted to transfer to another apartment. We were told that we had to wait until I was officially added to the lease before we could start the transfer process (???) Because of this unnecessary delay, we lost the available apartments we were interested in.

Really enjoyed my apartment tour! The leasing agent, Lex was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. She explained everything clearly and made me feel valued as a potential resident. We had a very positive experience!

Lexx was amazing! She was super sweet, friendly, and made the whole tour feel easy and comfortable for me and my fiancé. She made sure we understood everything before applying and answered all our questions. Highly recommend working with her!
