Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center

Homeless people living in different areas of the terrace - was a disappointment. Need lights in the parking ramps, I felt totally unsafe. Was there for approximately 26 minutes and got charged $5 instead of the posted $1. Nice view of the lake and capitol building.

Was there for an expo and in our downtime we went up to the rooftop garden. The café up there was amazing. The service and food were great. Not to mention, the VIEW is so gorgeous. Beautiful place. Oh and the lady in the gift shop on the main floor was really sweet as well. All around great time.

I find it a beautiful place with nature view on one side and Madison skyline on the other. It deserves both names garish white whale and architectural cornerstone. Even it it were created for moneyed conventioneers, would you care more sitting on a nice free chair on the terrace overlooking Lake Monona ("beautiful")?

Date night to see the candlelight concert, imagine dragons and Coldplay. We really enjoyed the experience, they were very punctual and friendly.

First time visiting Monona Terrace and it was such a beautiful experience! The building’s architecture is stunning, with Frank Lloyd Wright’s design giving it such a unique charm. The views of Lake Monona from the rooftop garden are absolutely breathtaking—perfect spot for photos and just soaking in the scenery. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. I also loved how close it is to the Capitol building, making it easy to explore both in one trip. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Madison!

Went for a graduation ceremony. The venue was nice and has a nice view of the Capitol from the roof with a nice fountain. But the parking was confusing to find. The maps takes you to the parking for the merchants and you have to drive a mile around to get to the parking lot that's essentially across the street but have to drive all the way around to the other side of the parking structure to get to it. Luckily we left early to get there from 2 hours away. If you plan on going, give yourself an extra 1/2 hour to get to the parking structure or get detailed instructions to get there.

The Monona Terrace is an iconic landmark in Madison. It offers a gorgeous view of the Capitol and an overlook of Lake Monona. It is a beautiful area to walk around or take a break at one of the many outdoor tables. Many people enjoy taking a lunch break here or reading a book. There is paid parking in the Monona Terrace or paid street parking in the surrounding area. However, the Monona Terrace is best accessed by foot. The Monona Terrace is accessible for wheelchairs.
