The Proud Bird is a fun and unique stop near LAX, especially if you enjoy aviation. The renovated space feels like a modern food hall with a great variety of options, including barbecue, pizza, salads, burgers, and a full bar, so there’s something for everyone. The service was excellent, and while the food quality is comparable to a typical food court, the atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. With a video arcade, numerous historic warbird aircraft on display, and indoor and outdoor seating just steps from the airport’s arrival paths, it’s a fantastic spot for plane watching and a casual meal.

The view from the airplanes is quite beautiful, perfect for airplane enthusiasts. The interior design is a bit like an airplane museum and a little bit like a food supermarket. The food isn't too expensive, and eating indoors allows you to watch commercial planes taking off and landing, which is quite spectacular. There's a backyard for children to play and for everyone to have a better view of the planes , It was quite an enjoyable experience for both adults and children.

Went with my crew to this location since we had a layover. It was a quick train ride from El Segundo area. Ambiance is cute and VERY aviation. Place is organized and clean. Signage could be a littler better. Was standing around and had to figure out where to pickup our food, but then realized the ginormous sign at the bottom of the “pickup” counter. Prices are as expected for LA. Perhaps I didn’t order the correct items but I wasn’t very impressed. Ordered the “Freckles” non-alcoholic drink. VERY minty. Not a fan personally but I finished it since I bought it. They only had bottled beer since they didn’t have CO2 for the tap. Tried to order a cab but they only had Chardonnay and some other wine. No biggie. The spicy tangerine wings looked lovely in the photo so I ordered that and a poke bowl. Unfortunately, the wings were not spicy not tangerine in flavor. Just a sweet glaze. Back in Vegas, poke bowls are “bowls” because the poke is served with rice. To our disappointment, it was a few pieces of poke with a HUGE bed of arugula blend and the TINIEST dressing container. If you do go, sit outside if you can. The ambiance of the sunset with the bonfire pit and paired with the loud but lovely planes landing in LAX was probably the best part of the whole experience.

The Proud Bird was a great find for a stop near LAX. We were looking for a place to eat and spend some time before our flight, and it turned out to be perfect. It’s especially amazing for kids, with an incredible view of planes landing and taking off—it really keeps them entertained. The whole aviation theme adds a fun touch to the experience. There are plenty of food options inside, so there’s something for everyone. Just be aware that it’s on the pricier side, but overall the experience was good and worth it for the location and atmosphere.

Great place if you love aviation history and good food. Basically this historical place was a restaurant turned into a food court with lots of amazing choices. Great display of historic aircraft and aviation military history and great plane spotting joint. I had no food and got coffee and unfortunately to no fault of the person working as bartender, server and barista it (took 30 mins plus to get the order done) as she was the only one in behind the counter and bar for just two coffee specialty drinks drinks Otherwise amazing place.

Yesterday I attended with my Support Group and it was Interesting and Good. It has a History for Airplanes. And they also do a Wedding Ceremony Reservation if you want to do a Wedding!! The Reception is Helpful and the Food Is really Good. And they also have a Playground for Kids to Play Outside when you want to talk with your friends. So I recommend it!!

A must while in LA for plane enthusiasts! Inside and out, this place delivers. Enjoy a massive variety of food options inside and out, airplane hanger vibes with planes landing at LAX above. Fully licensed as well! Perfect for a date, families or even a special event…. And I heard an Arcade is coming!

Bludso's BBQ is in The Proud Bird, an aviation-themed food hall. The ambiance and environment is amazing with planes all over the place. But the food doesn't match the ambiance. The brisket had amazing flavor but was mostly fatty chunks. Cornbread was dry and didn't have much flavor, definitely not a fan. Overall, if you have kids, they'll love this place. But if you're coming for the food, you will likely not be a fan.
