KANPAI JAPANESE SUSHI BAR & GRILL

The salmon sushi here was absolutely amazing! Thick cut fresh fish. A bit pricey ($9 for 2) but worth it for the taste. We also tried the salmon collar and fish skewer, both amazing. Service was slow but it was a busy night so it was expected. They have a huge parking lot behind the building that is free. A giant plus to any restaurant in LA.

We came in after order to go. The staff was really friendly. They had the FIFA soccer game on. The restaurant was very clean and the vibe & energy was exactly what I needed at the end of my day.

My mom and I have been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed with the food quality and the service. During lunch, you can get a small salad and ramen bowl with a choice of sushi or mini bowl. The “small” ramen bowl size is the perfect amount for me and it’s very filling. Regular portions are also quite large so I think it’s worth the price.

Kanpai is absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The sushi roll we ordered was perfect — topped with avocado and eel sauce, with fresh ingredients and great balance of flavor. It looked just as good as it tasted. We also ordered the soup dumplings and they were surprisingly good — full of broth, juicy, and served hot. Definitely a pleasant surprise to find here. My main entrée was the lamb chop, and it was outstanding. Tender, well-seasoned, and paired with crispy toppings and fresh vegetables. The sauce complemented the lamb perfectly — a very well-executed dish. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall dining experience was excellent. Kanpai deserves five stars — we will absolutely be coming back! 🍣🥢🍱

Very good food and sushi, opens late and the wait staff provide very attentive services. Very tasty !

Solid sushi place to go to before you head to the football game. They have great value when it comes to price and how much you get. The fish tasted great and their ramen definitely tastes more crafted than other places. And you get ice cream!

Food is delicious and fresh. Price is a bit high but fair for the quality and portion. A huge parking lot behind the restaurant. So no problem finding a parking. However, there's no sign at the back of the restaurant on the parking lot side. So it will be hard to find the restaurant if not on Sepulveda Blvd. Our waiter was nice. I didn't give a 5 star rating because the restaurant wasn't very clean. The windows to the street probably haven't been cleaned for weeks. The dining furniture was overall sticky and the flooring not clean either. Again, food is good.
