Museum of Nature & Science

What a cool little museum! Tickets 🎫 - free Bathroom 🪠 - yes Parking 🅿️ - ❌ We enjoyed the displays, particularly the giant snapping turtle and also the information about the universe and our solar system. Also there's a nice art museum attached to it so they're really one big display.

Someone suggested we visit the museum and art center while in Las Cruces. We are glad we did. It's really a neat place with a friendly staff. We spent about an hour. Believe it or not its also no charge.

REALLY COOL and FREE museum and science center. I saw a lot of reviews mentioning how small it was and was nervous as this was my suggestion for myself and a few extended family members. We easily spent 45-1hr here. They have some interactive models, animals, insects, interactive play items, and a large art gallery. I didn’t take many pictures, but this is a definite stop if you are walking down the cruces main strip.

For such a small museum it sure is filled with plenty of engaging displays and interesting artifacts 👍🏻

Such a great place, a little museum, aquarium, and space museum all in one, must stop for people enjoying the farmers market but need a break from the heat, great for kids, entires sections of just play area!

Although a small museum but with an impressive collection of artifacts of flora fauna animals wildlife that live in the chihuahuan desert. Superior explanation of prehistoric history going back to the time of the dinosaurs and how the dinosaurs remains or their fossils led to what is called the Permian basin. I enjoyed the organization the space, how the animals were all displayed, dinosaur bone collections gave me a better understanding of New Mexico's role in human history

This is a small museum that has some very interesting history exhibits as well as live reptiles and insects. It has a number of exhibits that are specifically designed for children. It only takes about 30 minutes to slowly wander around, so not a huge time commitment to visit. They have a unique exhibit of a trackway from the Permian period. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall worth a look.

Really nice museum with interesting exhibits! I'd definitely return to the science part. The set section didn't really have anything so hopefully they add more displays!
