While this store offers a wide variety of puppies and they are very nice, I believe the puppies are under fed. I bought a Bernedoodle, born 3/13/26, his ribs were sticking out, while they should be felt due to the poodle breed this was much more than that. He was very boney feeling even in the rear end. Took him to the vet for his well puppy exam, she said he was underweight also. Had him 3 weeks now and he has gained weight and now at the stage he should be. He is very good aggressive since he was in a cage with another large puppy. We are working on that.
I recently purchased a pet from Petland. Overall, the experience was good. The staff were helpful and guided me through the process especially Eniola helped overall the process.They explained basic care and were responsive to my questions.
However, I feel there could be a bit more transparency around pricing and post-purchase support. Apart from that, the store was clean and the pets seemed well cared for.
It’s a decent place if you’re looking to buy a pet.
We just picked up our little cavapoo, Birdie, from Petland Katy. The staff is well informed and helpful in answering our questions. The team is very careful with their little puppies had us wait a couple days until our little one gained and maintained another ounce. They also do a thorough vetting process of their breeders which helped us to get comfortable going this route. It was a good experience and they had a lot of super cute puppies and personalities to choose from.
I would like to give special thanks to Christina and Charlie for answering all my questions regarding purchasing a cavalier King spaniel today and I would highly recommend coming here to get your puppy .The store has a wide variety of puppies.. All the dogs look very healthy..All I want a loving home to go too.

We bought our puppy here almost a year ago now! Sadly only thing we were upset about was that our puppy we brought couldn’t met him in the “playpen” they have to meet the puppies. I understand they have rules but honestly our puppy is friendly and wasn’t going to do anything bad to him or so. We are very happy to have Riddick home with us! He was a present for me from my dad 😊! He is such a good listener and hasn’t had any problems so far! He is healthy, eats good and exercises well!!!!! Only reason I am giving a 4 star was the issue about our puppy not being able to meet him in the playpen and also only 1-2 were only allowed to be inside the pen. The buyer and the one who booked the reservation sadly. But other than that great staff, service and clean place! From puppy to almost adult he will be ONE in July ❤️ The brown puppy is the female we bought from a different pet store and different times but in the same year. Both purebred Mini Schnauzers and fully grown! Kira & Riddick!!!
Whatever you do please look somewhere else for the breed of puppy you are wanting. This place is over priced and sells nothing but over bred sick puppies. There is so much fine print when you purchase a puppy here and I guarantee there is a 90% chance your puppy will fall ill within the first week or end up with some sort of congenital issue within their first year! I have no clue how these stores are still allowed to be open and that the people that over breed these dogs are still allowed to do so. Also the registered papers they say you’ll get you’ll most likely never receive and when you call about them they won’t call you back!
I had such a great experience at Petland Katy! The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. You can really tell they care about the animals and take time to answer all questions. The store was clean, welcoming, and full of positive energy. I truly enjoyed my visit and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!
