Waste of Money, Time and Bangladeshi reputation and feelings, NOT RECOMMENDED. Beef Bihari Kabab (20$): it was a somewhat tendered beef with a strange spice and very chili hot, not close to a normal beef Bihari at all. Waste of money. Naan (2$): it was half baked. Ruho Fish (9$): it was again not at all tasty, come-on, in Bangladeshi restaurant you expect at least a decent fish curry, a weird spice is used which does not belong to Bangladesh. Dal (2$): Dal was good in taste. Service: unprofessional and rude, they need to respect the customer who pays their salary, don’t forget corona time, no customer and no job. Decoration: It was a well decorated newly build restaurant but i fall in trap and wasted a lot of money in that restaurant, first and last time. Note: i am not a restaurant owner or belongs to New York, just came to taste Bangladeshi food with hungry belly but NOT RECOMMENDED. Date: 25 May 2025

This restaurant has been a staple in the Bangladeshi dining scene for many years, and it’s clear why it has maintained its reputation. While the space can get very crowded and the bathroom could use better upkeep, the overall experience is still strong—especially when it comes to efficiency and food variety. One of the standout aspects is their ordering system. It’s arguably one of the best among Bangladeshi restaurants—quick, organized, and designed to move customers in and out smoothly without confusion. The staff are professional, attentive, and clearly well-trained, which adds to the seamless experience. The food has had its ups and downs over the years, with a noticeable decline at one point. However, since their grand reopening, the quality and selection have significantly improved. They now offer one of the best spreads—from kababs to traditional Bangladeshi fish dishes, along with a wide range of vegetable, chicken, beef, and lamb options. In particular, the roast and lamb shank are standout dishes—flavorful, well-cooked, and consistently satisfying. The food serving area is also kept clean and well-maintained, which is reassuring in a busy setting. Overall, despite a few drawbacks like crowding and restroom cleanliness, this restaurant delivers where it matters most: great food, efficient service, and a strong variety that keeps customers coming back.

Ghoroa has always been one of our favorites—we go there often to dine in and also grab plenty of takeout for home. It had been a little while since our last visit, so I was pleasantly surprised to walk into what felt like a brand-new restaurant after the renovation. The interior looks amazing—very modern, with a much nicer seating area, and everything feels so clean. It definitely makes the whole dining experience more comfortable and enjoyable. The best part is that the quality of the food is still just as great as always, and the service was good too. So happy to see one of our go-to spots level up like this!

We visited for breakfast as it transitioned into lunch and tried chapati, alu bhaji, mixed vegetables, beef stomach, beef kala bhuna, and duck curry, along with chicken roast to go. All dishes were well-presented and very flavorful. Compared to other Bengali restaurants in Jackson Heights and Hillside, this place stands out for its excellent food.

A good place to eat Bangladeshi and Indian cuisines. Atmosphere is great but quite expensive in terms of type foods. Food test is more than average though we had few items.

Food was already top notch the new “glow-up” makes it more aesthetic I suppose. As a local I’d be better off with the old setup and less flocks haha Almost All the items a great. Chicken Bihari Butterfly chicken Ilish Maach Bhortas Mix veggie Bhuri Korma polao Were what we recently had. The Rupchada is also very good.

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I go to Ghoroa every other week just because I love Beef Tehari, but what a disappointment! When the lady was making my 3 to go bowls, I even told her several times that these are fir kids and you are giving me onIy bones, she ignored me and gave me a nasty look. was shocked to find at home when I opened those bowls searching for meat. There are only bones and no actual meat. It felt like I was just chewing on leftovers, and it made the whole experience extremely unsatisfying. I understand that sometimes bones are part of a dish, but to have no substantial meat at all was completely unacceptable, especially for a dish that’s supposed to feature beef. $45. The staffs are horrible and the female staffs are only chitchatting with male customers. What is this? which only added to my frustration. Definitely won’t be coming back for the same dish, and I can't recommend it to anyone. I have spent 100s and 1000s of dollars in this restaurant and I don't think Ghoroa cares about their customers to be happy.
