Museum of Idaho

We visited the Museum of Idaho with our two kids (ages 3 and 6), and they absolutely loved it. It’s a fantastic place for families and a great asset for the Idaho Falls community. One of the highlights for us was the kids’ activity and play area, which had plenty of engaging hands-on activities. Our kids spent a lot of time there exploring, playing, and learning. It’s very thoughtfully designed to keep younger children curious and involved. The museum itself is also impressive for a city this size. The exhibits are well put together and tell interesting stories about the region, and they regularly host high-quality traveling exhibits that make each visit feel unique. Overall, it was a fun and educational experience for both kids and adults. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Idaho Falls, especially with young children

So fun! Great exhibits, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and hands on activity where we made slime and learned the science behind it! Fantastic museum! Update! Went again to see different exhibit, loved it!

Great museum. The Docents in costumes was my favorite part. They are obvious passionate about history and sharing that. Highly recommend this clean and well managed museum.

We visited here on a cold snowy day- it was wonderful. Great exhibits, we loved the Permian exhibit. Helpful staff. Well supplied gift shop!

All three exhibits were awesome! The Wild West was fun as always, the little town is my favorite part. The Permian exhibit was super interesting, the animatronics were so neat! The 250th exhibit was also cool and had some great artifacts!

We had so much fun! There was plenty to see for their new exhibit and still Idaho's history. Our two year old had a great time in the little exploratory play area.

It was fun, we enjoyed it and it never super crowded so you can move around easy and without pressure to keep moving.

Family friendly. Enjoyed walking through all the exhibits and the discovery room. Loved the interactive dinosaurs!
