Mama's Pizza Express

We have been getting the Grandma Pie pizza almost once a week from the Huntersville location. However, the cook of the pizza has become very inconsistent. Yesterday was awful. The pizza was undercooked and the sauce was watery. The crust was so soggy we couldn't pick it up. I took a few pics, but you can't really see the wetness as well as I had hoped.

Picked up lunch here the other day we got fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a Lasagna.The fettuccine had tons of food and chicken and was very good.Not really a fan of the lasagna but it was okay. The fettuccine was a heaping portion. Excellent amount of food for the money. Had enough sauce and I was shocked How much chicken it had. Will definitely be back again! highly recommended.

They have good subs, but everything else was pretty mediocre to bad. My biggest issue is that I ordered pickup, and the store never informed me my order was ready via text/email/whatever despite asking for that info. So when I went to pick it up after an hour (the estimated time provided,) the food was sitting obviously for quite some time and has become soggy because of it. I'll list off some other issues: 1. I didn't love the flavor of their pizza sauce. There's a spice in it that I can't quite name, but it makes it taste odd to me. 2. Due to the food sitting, the wings I ordered (and specifically chose Extra Crispy for) were soggy. 3. Not being informed my order was done ahead of time (above) was REALLY bad.

Place was very clean and they have a lot of cool movie posters up on the walls. Has a nice, relaxing pizzeria environment to it which I love. I got the 14” pizza which was the perfect size for one person. A little greasy, but it was still very good. Soda fountain machine was working fine and was stocked with all the syrups and such.

Hands down the best pizza in the area. I always come here and will continue to. They are so good! Staff is also really nice. Highly recommend stopping by! We recently got the meatballs. By far the best meatball I've had in the area!

I know they’re famous for pizza, so would like to go back and try that. I ordered ravioli and 3 garlic knots tonight. The pasta was like $10 and garlic knots $3. I thought the food was great, especially for the price. Is it the best pasta in charlotte? No, but it’s also much more affordable than what you’d pay at a higher end place. Also want to try their lasagna. Looking forward to going back!

My overall experience was great. Had a birthday party for my daughter and ordered 11 pizzas. Very easy to order by phone. Once pizzas arrived i received all 11 pizza but ended up getting two pizzas with different toppings then wanted. Called them back and they quickly fixed my order and sent over the right pizzas. Didn't charge me more and let me even keep the two other pizzas. Pizzas tasted great. And the size was perfect too. Only thing I wish was that it wouldn't have been so soggy in the middle of the pizza but from my understanding that's the way to make a new York pizza!! But over all we enjoyed the pizza and we will be coming back for more! And if you like gluten free pizzas as well they carry it and it was amazing

Friend of mine who loves pizza recommended - and he was right! If you want pizza that you can taste individual ingredients, this is the place. Most places down here you close your eyes and you could be eating anything. This place doesn't use the sausage crumbles - sliced sausage. This is the second review I've done in my life.
