Wonderful staff, very pleasant management and owners. Positive vibes welcome you at the door and that’s how we know who are the happy people! Love it! * Male servers had far better energy than female servers, something management should note. *Also, I would ask the owners is to please check indoor temperature as it was 76 inside and felt very hot while trying to enjoy the food. Otherwise a good place to grab a bite to eat. Perfect for whole family.

Amazing! Blew my socks off it was so good. Possibly the best French onion soup I have ever had. Sampled the sauted chicken wings... I didn't even know that was a thing! Outstanding! I had already ordered the chicken teriyaki. Which I never would have imagined ordering form a diner but also fantastic! Service was excellent. Everyone very nice, happy and courteous. I am in from out of town and I'm now coming back tomorrow again before I leave.

Mr. Peter made our experience a 10/10 from the moment we walked in. He gave our family, especially our child, such a warm and personable welcome that made us feel right at home. He seated us quickly, checked on us often, and gave us such a kind send off when we left. The food was great, but Mr. Peter's outstanding hospitality is what truly made our visit memorable. I recently visited hauppauge Palace Diner in Hauppauge and had a solid experience overall. The diner has a classic Long Island feel with a large menu that covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. I ordered Eggs and Bacon with Pancakes from which came out quickly and the portion size was generous. The food tasted fresh and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly throughout the visit. Parking was easy and the location is convenient if you’re in the Smithtown area. Prices were about what you’d expect for a Long Island diner. Overall, it’s a reliable spot if you’re looking for a traditional diner experience with plenty of menu choices.

I had a wonderful experience at Hauppauge Palace Diner with my family! We came in as a party of eight, with people arriving at different times, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They welcomed the first two of us right away and seated us comfortably, then seamlessly integrated the rest of our group when they arrived 20-30 minutes later. No hassle, no attitude—just warm, genuine hospitality. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the beef goulash, which was absolutely delicious, and the French toast bites were a hit at our table as well. You can tell this is a family-owned establishment that truly cares about their customers. The service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. If you’re looking for a diner with great food, welcoming staff, and the flexibility to handle larger groups with ease, Hauppauge Palace Diner is definitely worth a visit!

French toast was at room temperature, but it was abundant. Very crowded for dinner so I was seated at the counter which was a bit uncomfortable. The order took a lot longer than expected.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Had the tuna sandwich on whole wheat toast. The tuna is absolutely delicious. Best tuna on the island. Hands down! Had their fries too and they were cooked perfectly and well done. Just how I like them. Went there a week later and had the grilled cheese and fries with mozzarella cheese. It was cooked perfectly once again!! I live in Bohemia but it’s worth the trip. Can’t wait to go back!

The breakfast was great! I had myself a fine cappuccino and gluten-free Belgian waffles with strawberries. Service was quick very little wait for a busy day.
