Have been going there for almost a year now. The begals are really good. I usually have their onion begal or garlic begal with cream cheese.
Food: Bagel Chalet keeps getting better every time I go. The bagels themselves are fresh, soft inside, and chewy enough to hold up whether you are getting something simple or a fully loaded breakfast sandwich. The scallion cream cheese is the thing that really stands out for me. It is thick, fresh, and has enough scallion running through it that you actually taste it in every bite, not just a hint of it buried in plain cream cheese. On a fresh bagel, it is exactly what you want: cool, creamy, savory, and satisfying without needing anything else. The lox was also excellent. Fresh, silky, and salty in the right way, with the scallion cream cheese giving it that extra bite that makes the whole bagel feel complete. Their bacon, egg, and cheese is always good too. The eggs taste fresh, the cheese melts into everything, and the bacon gives it the right salty crunch without the sandwich feeling thrown together. It is simple breakfast food, but it is done consistently well. Service: Service is fast and efficient, which matters for a busy bagel place. Orders move quickly, takeout is easy, and everything feels fresh when you get it. Summary: Easy 5/5. Fresh bagels, great scallion cream cheese, fresh lox, and a consistently strong bacon, egg, and cheese make Bagel Chalet an easy repeat spot.
Monster drink $6, small juice $4, bagels with cream cheese $6 each. Either they need a new distributor or they are just price gouging for the sake of price gouging. I've never paid $6 for a monster drink anywhere. When I asked if the price was correct he just laughed at me and said, "yes sorry." As if it was funny. Luckily I make a decent living but if a gas station can beat the price of drinks kind of tells the story here. After eating the food if I would have had a warm fuzzy feeling that the money was worth it it would be different but it was mediocre at best
I ordered a chopped salad with raspberry vinaigrette and got this monstrosity. It was absolutely disgusting and inedible. The dressing was incredibly thick and clumpy, drowning the entire salad. It actually made me gag after a few bites and ruined my appetite. A man behind the counter offered to make me something else so I got a wrap. He was nice but, I refuse to put anything else made at this establishment in my mouth. It was almost $20 too. Not worth a cent. Never coming here again!
We opted for a classic everything bagel with cream cheese, along with a piping hot cup of coffee, hash browns and the sub! The bagel was perfectly toasted, with a crispy exterior giving way to a soft, chewy center. The cream cheese was generously spread, adding a creamy richness to each bite. The coffee was robust and flavorful, the ideal complement to my meal. was impressed by the wide selection of bagels and toppings on offer. From classic options like plain and sesame seed to more adventurous choices like everything and cinnamon raisin, there was something to suit every palate. The menu also featured a variety of spreads, meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables, allowing for endless customization.
Great bagels and food. Fresh and good portions... However, I spent $5.75 for a sesame bagel with cream cheese. Hmmm. I get it, everything is 9n the rise but they make everything from scratch so, it doesn't NEED to be that expensive. I can go almost anywhere else and get the same thing for $4, which is still expensive. I just happened to be in the shopping center. I only go here maybe 1x year bc it's so expensive. Shame.
Best bagels I've had from a bagel shop near Smithtown. Not too chewy, slightly crispy outside and tender inside. Not sure why a pound of cream cheese is almost $14 though.
