If you are looking for unique, then I would highly recommend this location. Truly an amazing experience. The food was fantastic. The seating was well spaced out and didn’t feel cramped. The live performance has amazing vocals and gave it an amazing energy all around. The menu has so many great options, it was difficult to make a decision. But this place is a great selection for any occasion including anniversaries, date night, or just to spend time with the family. The unique flavor in the dishes cannot be compared. The server was quick, efficient, and accommodating. This has become our new destination for every date night.

Mrs V and I were thrilled to hear that Pizzicata had opened a location in Glendale therefore it was when not if we were heading to our favorite Italian restaurant in AZ. Great location, and from the moment you enter this spot it’s obvious that a great deal of creativity went into the planning and execution of this unique scratch made authentic elevated Italian eatery. We made our reservations early and it seemed like minutes later and the place was slammed. Our server Gregg (aka Triple G) was amazingly friendly, knowledgeable, and rivaled our food as the star of our dining experience. The menu has changed dramatically since we’ve dined at the Carefree and Mesa locations and Gregg was extremely helpful with his menu suggestions which were absolutely on point! Shortly after the owner Federico greeted us at our table. Frederico is the real deal. Federico is very humble and down to earth. He’s also very funny and engaging. He truly values his guests. Our apps and entrees were extraordinarily delicious. Pizzicata has the best pizza in the Valley IMO. I highly recommend their signature Pinsa Romana crust made with three types of flour. Light crispy with flavor for days! I would be remiss if I failed to mention the live music performed by a talented crooner singing Frank Sinatra signature tunes. Highly recommend!! Mark Voykin
I'd previously attended a pizza making class here. The pizza was so phenomenal, I decided to come back. We ordered caprese salad, Cesar salad, Vicenzo pizza Napolitano style and Paccheri Vittorio. Our server Alissa was very friendly and took a considerable amount of time going over menu items for me as I have some dietary restrictions. She knew the menu inside and out and made great recommendations for me. The food was absolutely delicious and I stole a piece of pizza from my husband. The crust and the sauce were delicious. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and the two large patios make for beautiful outside dining. The entire staff is very friendly. We will absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian food.
Always great food, always great hospitality. When I want actual, authentic, from Italy, Italian food, this is where I go. The pizza is amazing, perfect crust. The grilled octopus was the right amount of char and the sauce complimented, not overpowered the taste of the dish. Beef carpaccio with arugula and foccacia, delicious. But the goat cheese with brulee top and almonds was the thing I mopped up like it was a last meal. From the service staff down to the amazing bread, everything was a winner. I can't wait to return.
We had a great experience! The entire restaurant is lovely. We sat on the patio and had great service and the food was excellent! Put this one on your list!
As an Italian who knows exactly what true Italian food should taste like, the pizza here is absolutely beyond expectation! We started our meal with the arancini, which were truly exceptional—perfectly crisp on the outside and flavorful on the inside. For the mains, the Pizza Ligure was fantastic! Two thin layers of dough with melted cheese in between, topped with prosciutto crudo!! But the highlight for me was the Pizza Pizzicata, the combination of spicy Italian salami and hot honey glaze is out of this world. We also tried the homemade gnocchi with gorgonzola, and they were incredibly light, pillow-soft, and cooked to perfection. We closed an already amazing dinner with dessert, sharing the tiramisu and the Nutella crepes. Everything was fantastic and really well done. We will absolutely be back soon—and next time, we’re bringing a crowd!
We visited twice within a 2 week period and had different experiences. Let me start with the location. The place is very modern, clean, and well decorated, so it makes for a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable experience. There is plenty of parking and we went for an early dinner to avoid potential crowds, so no wait at all. The service was very different from one time to the other. The fist time we went for pasta and our server was friendly, but not helpful, and not attentive at all. In fact, a bit dismissive. We waited a very long time for our mains until the owner interfered. The server just left us unattended for a long time and never really came to our table. The owner looked at us a few times and came to ask how the experience was coming along, and we told him that we had been waiting for a while. The restaurant wasn't busy and we waited for about 40 min for 2 pasta dishes. The owner went into the kitchen and the food was brought to us immediately. We were delighted with the pasta dishes as they were flavorful, and the portions were generous. We ordered a panna cotta for dessert, but it was very ordinary, so wouldn't order again. We went for pizza on our second visit, and the service was attentive, but not helpful nor friendly. In fact, the server looked angry. We ordered a caprese salad to start, but it left a lot to be desired. The tomatoes had no flavor, and the salad lacked salt. I'm ok with using pesto rather than basil, but the pesto was barely drizzled, so it wasn't enough to give it any flavor. A balsamic reduction or glaze would have been nice, but there wasn't any balsamic vinegar on it either, so all in all a flavorless mess. It seemed like the kitchen rushed through making the salad and forgot some ingredients. The pizza saved the day. This place serves the best pizza in the valley. The dough has character and texture and combined with great quality toppings... mama mia!!! We ordered a Dolce & Gabbana and a Regina Margherita and both were divine. My only issue with the Margherita was that it did not have enough basil, making it more like a cheese pizza rather than a Margherita. This time we ordered 2 desserts a tiramisu and the cannolis, and were disappointed. The tiramisu was toothless... it didn't really pack a strong coffee flavor, and the cannolis were flavorless. So to summarize... the prices are very fair, the food tastes authentic and the portions are generous, the place is very nice, but the service was not the best. We will definitely return for the mains and the pizza, but perhaps will skip dessert, and hopefully the service will improve.
Had a fantastic dinner with friends last night! Great menu options, piano player was a big bonus also.
