Redhot Ranch

Redhot ranch is a Chicago staple. My brother and sister have been egging me to try it. I succumb and we set out to the nearest location which was this one. It’s under the subway so it’s a pretty cool location. The inside is what you’d expect. A torn interior with an old classic non-renovated style burger shop with paint chipped walls and nostalgia. Their fries are better than most chains/spots but not my favorite personally as they taste more sweet fried like a funnel cake if that makes sense. The burgers are pretty good, but only if they prepare it well. My double patty burger wasn’t really seasoned and dressed well so I didn’t care for it. My brothers on the other hand was stacked and I did enjoy that very bite. Make sure you eat it fresh as they are oily. Prices are extremely reasonable as well. I’d say this place is a must try for burger lovers but I wouldn’t drive 20+ minutes for it again.

Red Ranch Burgers makes really good smashed burgers that are flavorful, juicy, and very affordable. The burgers are cooked perfectly with a nice crust, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Service is quick and efficient, so you’re not waiting long for your food, which is a big plus. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and delicious every time. Great spot if you’re looking for a fast, tasty burger without overpaying. Highly recommend checking them out. I feel bad going to them sometimes right before they close because I get out of work late but they never disappoint.

Food was OK, but just OK. It is not as they presented on the social media. That’s where we saw this place. Prices are very good. I think it is overrated. I will mention the prices again though - very good.

Top 3 hotdogs ever tried. Took me 40 mins walk one way, cash only...still worth 100%.

I was told that this is the best Chicago hot dog you can get. Well, It's a good hot dog but weiner circle, Superdog and even portillo's are much better hot dogs. What I got was complete mess smushed in with a bunch of half cooked fries mustard all over the place and it was just a complete and utter mess. Couldn't even finish it because the bun fell apart, Soggy! I don't understand the reviews and I'm trying really hard because I love hole in the wall places, but there are much better hot dogs at a whole bunch of different places. Is it cheap? Yeah fries and a hot dog is about six bucks with Tax I believe. Was it worth it? No

Don’t judge this place by the interior—it’s definitely a little rough around the edges, but the food speaks for itself. I had a grilled hot dog and a fresh-cut order of fries, and both were really good. The fries are made fresh in-house, and you can actually see employees prepping them, which was a nice touch. They had at least six people working, with some cooking and others preparing the fresh fries & toppings, so everything came out hot and fresh. The only downside was that they didn’t have pickles, so it wasn’t quite the traditional Chicago-style hot dog I was expecting. Even so, I left satisfied and would happily come back. They also have outdoor picnic tables if you want to eat there, and it’s worth knowing they’re cash only—but they do have a convenient ATM on-site.

What a gem!! Absolutely amazing. The burgers are on point at RHR! the price is unbeatable $7 for a double cheese burger with everything on it and fresh cut fries. You really can't bet that anywhere in Chicago! Their burgers NEVER disappoints. Always juicy with a little crunch on the ends and their homemade sauce brings the taste right home. I always order the double cheese burger with everything on it. Always cooked perfectly to order fresh never frozen patty's and fresh cut fries. Definitely don't sleep on the tail less fried shrimp with there homemade hot sauce and the Chicago style hotdogs are amazing. My second favorite shrimp after goose island shrimp. RHR is definitely a Chicago staple! 100% recommend!
