Map Room

I always enjoy stopping into the Map Room; that window seating facing the street is totally elite. I recently got a film camera I didn’t know how to use and accidentally snapped a photo. It flashed really bright and was very embarrassing, but it did get a pic of a vibeeee. Read a newspaper, drink a beer, even have a hot tea(!) - you really can’t go wrong here. Nice vibe, nice place, happy it’s in the neighborhood :)

Terrible experience. 5/30 evening and when the shift change happened, everything changed. The lack of any customer service nor social skills was astounding. The approach the two bar tenders was terrible…white lady with the tattoos and the African American guy…made the experience uncomfortable most of the folks. While siting at the bar, my group and I were able to first hand see and also experience the rudeness. Conversation with the other customers unfortunately was centered and focused on the poor experiences everyone was encountering with your staff.

This place is a great find if you’re looking for good coffee without spending too much ☕💸 The quality is really nice, especially for the price, which makes it even better 🙌 There’s also plenty of seating, so it’s perfect if you work from home and just need a change of scenery 💻✨ The vibe is calm and relaxed, with soft, quiet music playing in the background 🎶😌 - ideal for getting things done or just unwinding a bit. Honestly, it feels way more personal and cozy than the usual chain spots ❤️ So if you’re nearby, support local and skip the Starbucks across the street 😉☕

Just stopped in for a quick drink. They have a wide selection of beers on tap that are interesting and not your normal selection. They also have a ton of bottle and can choices for more beer, or cider if that’s more your style. They also have coffee! Friendly atmosphere and lots of maps and travel books, which adds a nice feeling.

I love the map room. It's a fantastic spot with an incredible beer selection and atmosphere. However, there is one staff member who is the most rude, condescending, brooding bartender I have ever witnessed. He makes people uncomfortable and it's sad to see him ruining what is a really great place.

Great place for a weekday beer. So many places don’t open until 3/4 making it hard when you’re looking for somewhere after lunch. Fun vibe like a dive but not the same crowd that feels like you’re excluded when you’re new. Tons of beer options and coffee options which is nice.

If you enjoy getting harassed because you haven't looked at the beer selections yet by a very aggressive bartender, then this is the place for you. Not sure if the bartenders are rude because they are unhappy in their personal lives or they are just the worst people. Id avoid if your looking to easily order a drink and relax.

💻Best WFH SET UP & VIBES 📝 I enjoy the atmosphere that’s so hard to find now a days. The old school warmth that gets lost with today’s cafes. ☕️ I love their bagels and ask for my latte to be sweeten to get cozy in this incredible space. I call Map Room my second office and can be there all day 💼 It’s also a bar so truly the best of both worlds! 🍻
