Coalfire definitely lives up to the fame. The pizza is interesting - I had the "nudge #4" and it was a unique experience. The vibe is nice, the service is fast and polite, and the menu, while limited, is exciting. I saw people coming in and having a consistently pleasant time. I have no reason to give it anything less than 5 stars because the quality is absolutely there. However, I probably wouldn't come back again unless it was a very special occasion that required this exact vibe. The pizzas are pricey, with some reaching $27, which is a lot to sign up for willingly. Additionally, they add a 3.99% service charge by default, which feels a bit much considering tip is still expected on top of that. It is a great place, but the cost makes it a "one-and-done" or special event spot for me. Food and Drink The pizza is the star here, specifically the nudge #4, which offers a very interesting flavor profile. While the menu is limited, every option feels curated and exciting. Just be aware of the pricing - $27 for a pizza is on the higher end, and there is a mandatory 3.99% service charge added to the bill before the tip. Noteworthy Details * Service: Fast, polite, and professional. * Pricing: Expect to pay around $27 per pizza; be mindful of the default 3.99% service charge. * Vibe: Great for special occasions or when you want a specific, high-quality pizza atmosphere. * Menu: Limited selection but very creative and well-executed.

I'm definitely a fan of this stone oven pizzeria! I ordered 2 pizzas via toasttab for a pick up and the experience was phenomenal! Firstly, placing the order online was easy! Secondly, the actual CoalFire staff was friendly and efficient! Lastly and most important for you, reader: the pizzas were well-worth the money and the 30 minute drive from the South Side. Please look at my pictures and understand that they taste MORE delicious than they look! I did a pick up but do intend to sit down to eat them fresh some time! If you pick up and your pizzas get cold, please do them justice by reheating them in the OVEN and not nuke the beautiful stone-oven crust with a microwave. It'll be worth the wait!
This place was good years ago. Just got a Margherita pizza, it was $24.00 !!!! Pizza was dry, almost no sauce and extremely bland tasting. Outside edge should be a little thick, fluffy and almost snap when you bite it. It was hard and like a cracker. NEVER AGAIN!! Terrible
Coalfire is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Dave is very nice. Restaurant is in good condition. Amazing coal fired nduja pizza. Must come back. 10/10.
The pizza is made then placed in a coal fire oven for 90 sec. Authentic neapolitan style thin crust large pizzas. Fresh ingredients I had the pepperoni with ricotta cheese. It was good, but probably would X out the ricotta next time crust was on point. 100% recommend!
Pizza is delicious! One of my favorite Ceasar salads would be from here as well! Focaccia was so fluffy and light. Staff were all friendly and kind. Definitely a neighborhood place.
We ordered the broccolini burrata to start. The broccolini was served cold which was odd. We ordered the Stracciatella & Sausage Pizza. The flavors were amazing! However the pizza crust was really burnt. The burnt flavor over powering everything else. The dough consistency was stretchy so I know it could taste good!
We recently had dinner at Coalfire really enjoyed their Jalapeno Pepperoni which was nicely baked thin crust with a good amount of char. Savoury tomato sauces, cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno were all good quality and tasty. This was a really good pizza, one we'd gladly return to reorder.
