Ernesto Gamez Cascade Park

My favorite park. Albeit, it can get a little smelly sometimes, lol. During the summer, it's the place to be. They even have events like light-up events. It's a gorgeous park at night. The lighting is spectacular. And even when it is smelly, it's not too bad, lol. But, hands down, it's one of the best parks here. Great place for the family. Water everywhere, and volleyball and soccer courts are set up too. Even a nice hill to push your sibling off of 😆. It's loads of fun! I moved across town and still make the drive just to come to this park. Water features like the cascade and kids' water park are only available during the summer though, which is kind of a bummer but understandable.

Great park for the area. There's a toddler playground as well as older kid playground. There's a splash pad and boardwalk as well. It could use some updating/cleaning, but overall a great park option for kids.

Beautiful park in Brownsville. Great for walking, Birding. Tons of places for kids to play. Pavilions and grill pits are readily available. Beautifully decorated during the holidays.

Great park, nice view, lots of picknick areas with plenty of covered picnic table areas with BBQ grills for each. Even lots of clean restrooms. And a small playground and a wonderful kids area with spraying water. 2 lakes, bridge, view platforms and a large water fall. Plenty of parking. As I remember handicap friendly. I highly recommend for couples & family, but also a good place for singles or groups of friends!

It's a nice place over all but the playground part itself is really small and it's always busy after school and on weekends. There are pretty nice walking trails that go around the park with lots of palm trees. There are a ton of picnic tables with grills and outlets so great place to charge up your devices. The splash pad looks like it's nice but it was off most of the times we went and then they have the cascade part of the park next to it with a pool of water at the bottom but your not allowed to swim in it. Which is ridiculous it's right next to the dish pad, it would be so nice for them to allow swimming in it.

Beautiful park. Very clean. Family oriented. It shows very much how the citizens of Brownsville take care of this park. Let's continue to see more parks like these. 👍 together we can all pitch in and help to keep our parks looking like this one.

Nice and easy to find. In the hot weather they run the little water park for children. Swings, grills, gazebos or palapa for Parties. Open to the public young and elderly. Easy access to the disable people.

It's really great brownsville put this park up. Great place to take the kids out to play and have a Picnic. They have public bathrooms, two jungle gym areas with swings and slides. A water park area for kids. If you het there early like we did you have to touch the pole with the green top to turn on the water. There is also a large area full of picnic tables if you are having a birthday party.
