I’ve honestly never come across a chapel quite like this—its design feels so unique, especially surrounded by such a beautiful natural setting 🌲✨ The short, easy walk from the parking lot along a paved path makes it super accessible too 🚶♂️ Once you arrive, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and calming, almost like the world slows down for a moment 🕊️ It’s the perfect spot to sit quietly, reflect, or even meditate. The blend of stunning architecture and the serene forest around it creates a truly special experience 🌿💫 Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re looking to unwind and soak in some natural beauty!
Yesterday I visited this beautiful chapel with my family, and it was truly one of the most peaceful places I’ve experienced.
The architecture is absolutely breathtaking. The all-wood design, surrounded by the beauty of nature, creates a serene atmosphere that makes you want to sit quietly and simply take it all in. Sunlight filtering through the trees and the wooden structure makes the entire space feel warm, welcoming, and inspiring.
Whether you’re visiting for prayer, reflection, or simply to admire the incredible craftsmanship, this chapel is a place that brings a sense of peace and calm. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and I highly recommend taking the time to visit.

E. Fay Jones, the designer of this building, apprenticed with Frank Lloyd Wright and created a unique arcitectural style influenced by Wright's work. Where Wright often created rectangular and largely horizontal buildings to blend with flatter Midwestern landscapes and provide functional living spaces, Jones is most famous for his chapels in the Ozarks, designed for generally different environment and function. As such, his realization of "organic architecture" was a lot more vertical and a lot more curved, mirroring the towering nearby trees and their bowed branches. Beautiful glass panels fill this building with sunlight when the sun is overhead and though structurally necessary, you would never guess that this chapel is mostly steel! With large wooden panels and a paint which closely matches their color, this chapel appears like it's made almost entirely of the same wood as the trees around it. A testament to his talent for vertical organic buildings, Jones's chapel readily disappears into the forest as you walk the nearby trail, no easy feat for a building of this size. Very popular for weddings, and it's not hard to see why. It's a beautiful chapel and definitely worth visiting if you like unique architecture!
Breathtaking. Very quite and a great experience. We were the only ones there at the time so we really got to enjoy it in peace. There is a small trail that also goes around the property and you can see small views of the lake.
Absolutely stunning. The Mildred B. Cooper Chapel is a true masterpiece of architecture and atmosphere. Nestled in the woods, the design blends seamlessly with nature, creating a peaceful and almost sacred experience.
Walking through the surrounding forest and then stepping into the chapel felt grounding and reflective. It’s one of those rare places that naturally slows you down and invites meaningful thought and conversation.
A must-visit if you’re anywhere near Bentonville—this isn’t just a stop, it’s an experience.
I got married at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel this past December and I had such a wonderful experience. The chapel was absolutely breathtaking and I couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else. Cindy Adams, the Director of the chapel, was always so kind and helped with any questions and plans we needed for our special day. On the day of, the staff was so helpful and really helped make sure our day went smoothly.

The best wedding destination I could have asked for! The chapel was absolutely surreal, with beautiful, intricate design. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating and the pricing was very affordable.
We rented it for several hours for our ceremony. They offer a rehearsal, which we highly recommend. The chapel is air conditioned and has a bluetooth system which you can use with your devices to play music for all occasions. There is an optional microphone and a piano.

This Chapel was beautiful! There is short walk up the paved path to the chapel. The architecture of the chapel is breathtaking! When you walk into the chapel the atmosphere is so peaceful and calm. There were small lights that lined the windows that added to the atmosphere. We noticed you can rent it out for weddings it would be such a beautiful wedding venue.
