I was shocked when I arrived at the zoo this morning for my first ever visit. Shocked in a good way. I had no ideal this place was here but I am glad I found it. The zoo was so clean and well maintained. The entire 2 hours that I spent there I could see groundskeepers everywhere maintaining the Zoo. It was only $10 for adults. I can say this is truly a hidden gem. I did pay $3 for a train ride around the zoo before I left. The train was underwhelming but I feel like I got my monies worth. This is definitely a great place to visit and very affordable. I would recommend this place to everyone. I think this is probably the cleanest zoo I have every visited. I will go back for sure.

Visitor notes
A very pleasant small zoo located in a very quiet area. While walking around, you truly get the feeling of being in a forest rather than at a zoo. Plan to spend about two hours here — the walking distances are quite long, so it’s important to pace yourself and calculate your energy. We saw several playful bobcats, a beautiful tiger, and bears that were trying to climb out of their enclosure. There were also some quite unique animals, as well as reptiles and fish, which made the visit especially interesting. Bring some quarters with you — you can buy fish food for 25 cents and feed the fish in the pond, which is a very nice and fun experience. We were pleasantly surprised by a machine offering free sunscreen — I wish all public places had something like this. Everything was very clean, all the animal enclosures were well maintained, and the park staff were friendly and welcoming. We were a bit disappointed that the playground, café, and the little train were closed, but I understand that it’s wintertime. I truly believe this park deserves support — even small donations can help. You can see that the staff are really trying their best, even though the park itself feels quite modest. I would love to see more animals, fish, and exhibits in the future. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. It’s a nice and interesting way to spend a couple of hours outdoors and in nature.
Fantastic zoo experience! We’re traveling from Texas and have visited quite a few zoos, and this one truly stands out. The animal enclosures are outstanding — spacious, well-designed, and clearly created with the animals’ well-being in mind. The scenery throughout the zoo is beautiful and makes the entire visit even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our day even better. We highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area — it’s absolutely worth it! ☺️😊🌟
Great zoo. My son loves the train rides, $3 for adult and free for kid under certain age. One trip takes about 20 min, worth every penny.
I have t been to the zoo since since the 90s. But going there for the first time in years to see the lights was so chill and nice to see. Beautiful lights, chill atmosphere and spend time with family made this occasion easy to deal with. They also had a food v ndor present. I can't wait to go back.
The new entrance is nice. Just was used to the old one. Missed seeing some of the park the paths changed. The giraffes were not out. Lots of empty exhibits. The café ran out of vanilla ice cream. My grandson and his class had a great time. The new playground and picnic area was very nice.
An awesome zoo! A good variety of animals and things to see and the admission was cheap
The zoo was missing half the animals. Shut one concession stand. Inoperable vending machines. The 30 year San Fran train conductor should not be around kids. She was fine with white kids and adults taking pictures with the train. She started screaming psychotically at my Asian wife and mixed four year old when they tried to get a picture after the other people. She didn't stop until my white sister told her to stop. The grounds were very clean though. Most of the staff was nice, though they seem stuck in their chairs. I would love to see the zoo doing better in the future.
